I am shure that in all of the options of the food menu and wine menu there was options that you could have different experience than the one mentioned. We apologize for that. Dear Mr. David, Thank you for your stay and comment. The Convent is dated from the 14th Century. The transformation on Pousada occored in 1995 by the work of the Architect Jose Paulo dos Santos who draw all of the furniture, rooms and colective areas. It won several prizes for this work. About the carpets, off course we try to remove them, there are recent. The situation is that you need the type of liquid that marque them so that we can remove. Unfortunately those types of situation occurred at hotels more frequently than we desire. We are off course working on them, but i can assure there where not there for ages as you mentioned.
