“The hotel was about what I expected for Antrisabe, but I think the price is too high. Par for the course is the lack of toiletries, but there was also no towel. Otherwise it is barebones but serviceable with a friendly staff.”
“This property has been open for a year, but I was only the second foreign guest to date. The location probably explains why, as it is deep inside a slum neighborhood with only dirt roads and lots of mud puddles. However, the saving grace is the hotel's management, who went above and beyond in providing excellent service. On the night we checked-in, torrential rain made it impossible to go out and get dinner. Staff members drove us in their 4x4 to a restaurant, patiently waited for us, and drove...
“The main issues we noticed was that it seems they have some plumbing issues to figure out. In both rooms that we had it seemed that the shower pan was leaky and even if you were really careful water went all over the floor. That seemed to cause a very musty smell in the room. Surprised to see that issue with such a new building.
Also took a few minutes for hot water but that's pretty common in Madagascar. It was plenty hot once it got going.
I hope they get the leaking issue sorted out...
“The bed was nice and place spacious but for the rest of the equipment whether shower, kettle, hair dryer, they worked very badly. Restaurant very poor, we waited more than 1hr with my 2 years old daughter for our dinner which was terrible and even got sick. They told me that they were understaffed. The place is very calm though. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly but that's not enough to make up for this bad experience. I would not recommend it.”
