"The hotel is a bit dated, but it was perfect for us. The rate was great and we enjoyed a lovely view of the marina. What we loved most, though, was how peaceful it was and how friendly the staff were."
"We always wanted to stay at the Atomic, and so we made it happen on this trip. It is super cute - no frills, but a nice clean place to stay with a free grab and go breakfast. And the Pig n Pancake is right next door!"
"The setting for this hotel is wonderful, and the lounge overlooking the ships on the Columbia River is a stop I've made before when not even staying at the hotel. It was even more special when I was staying there. The sea lion platform is fun (a nice touch in the room to deal with them is earplugs in a container that says "In case of Sea Lions"). The fire pit on the dock and a "mini porch" with chairs outside our room were also nice touches. We loved the retention of some of the old cannery beams, and the historical photos in the hallways add so much to the ambiance. I was a little disappointed that the barrel saunas are not pre-heated in the morning, as I did not have time to wait for one to heat up on the one morning I was there. Hopefully the slow drain in our bathtub was fixed after we mentioned it, as my "anti-foot-fungus" travel flip flops couldn't quite do their job when I was standing in three inches of water during my shower. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying there again."
"Very spacious, clean & comfortable suite with full size refrigerator, stove, microwave. No ice machine on the property, and no breakfast provided, so plan accordingly. Bear in mind, if you are staying on the first floor, there may be some noise coming from the room above. Second level is accessed by external stairs only. No elevator. The office is extremely small (a sign on the door says only one couple at a time inside) but the staff was pleasant. Nice big wall-mounted televisions and good channel selection. We had to ask for help with the remote as hitting the "TV" power button instead of the "ALL" power button resulted in a "no signal" onscreen error message. (A note near the TV would have been helpful.) Subway (sandwich chain) is a short walk away, as is a mini mart. The motel is close to the main road, so there is some noise. No A/C in the rooms. Box fans are provided. Not 4-star, but decent enough."
