First, I was required to sign a paper with incomplete/inaccurate information upon my arrival. I crossed off inaccurate information and hand-wrote the correct information on the form. Then, I passed the document back to the host of the hotel. He changed the room from a downstairs room to an upstairs room. I asked why and his response was the workers stay on the lower level. Interesting observation...I watched another (not worker) patron enter a lower level room. Secondly, I reserved a non-smoking room and was told the upper level room was a non-smoking room. My son suffered with asthma attacks throughout the 5 hours we were in the non-smoking room. Interesting observation...There were burns on the bathroom sink from cigarettes. Thirdly, car alarms were going off throughout the 5 hours of available rest. I was awakened at least 3 times by a car alarm! I actually starting checking to see if my vehicle was being tampered/broken into. Fourthly, the neighboring room watched their television all night with a loud volume. It made it very hard to get a good rest for traveling the next morning. My fifth (and final) concern was breakfast was available at 7 AM, but no possibility of a bag breakfast was available at 6 AM. The other hotels my family used during our trip were significantly more accepting to early departures. If a warm breakfast wasn't available, a bag breakfast was offered! I am very unsatisfied with this Econo Lodge located in Athens, TN!
