Ink 48 definitely feels like it’s missing some heavy duty management. The staff was lovely, and everything seems clean, but overall it’s just a bit faded and unpolished. In our room, the hotel phone wasn’t working, the clock was set to be wrong time, the air vent seemed to be hanging on for dear life, and the mini bar was stocked with bottles of water from the bodega down the street, literally with these neon pink price stickers still on them. The hotel roof is managed by a different company, and they did not seem to have any hustle or desire to welcome hotel guests up to the roof. I know that has nothing to do with the hotel, but it is on the property and you would think that the rooftop staff would make a point of fussing a little extra over hotel guests. As I said, staff seemed very friendly, but it did look like a ragtag bunch with untucked shirts, a laissez-faire attitude, et cetera. For 750 bucks a night, for the overall stay I have to say I was a little disappointed

"We had a room on the 14th floor. Well, actually the 13th floor as we entered on the 14th floor and had to walk down a flight of stairs in the room to get to the actual room. They did ask if we minded stairs when we checked in. The room was very nice, the bed comfortable, and the view spectacular. ..."
