Return guest, having stayed in this hotel last month. In my previous visit of 5 days, on 2 occasions my room was not serviced. During this stay, despite calling service twice, they forgot service my room also. When they finally did, it was sloppy with rubbish not removed. To their credit, we were given a bottle of wine by way of apology following an escalation complaint. We also pointed out that the carpet by the lifts on our floor had significant dirty areas which clearly had not been vacuumed for over 4 days. Not a massive issue, but not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel either. Likewise a red wine glass was left beside a lift overnight and all day. The hotel is not cheap and on the whole delivers a great experience but these little ‘issues’ detracted from what should have been a truly 5 star experience. Very disappointing.
