A good find

At this price point, Stadthotel Augsburg is a good find. The premises are a little dated, but everything is clean, the room was spacious, and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Easy to find and next to tram line. Get an all-day ticket and leave your car behind in the great parking provided. Nevertheless, location is indeed walkable to historic Augsburg. The exterior is plain but the room was not! It was tastefully decorated, fresh and clean. Bathroom was especially nice. Super clean with even towel warmers.

I was asked by a staff "how was my sleep?" at the breakfast - a question which I haven't heard for so long time when staying at a hotel. Everything was clean. Location was great as a tram station is just a step from the location. Would be great to have a kettle in the room for such a very cold day.

Good location just 10 minutes walk from the centre or a short tram ride from outside the hotel. Breakfast was normal continental buffet. Staff were pleasant and helpful. However, we had a room facing the road. It was too hot with the windows closed and too noisy to them open.

A budget hotel that offers much more than it costs

This hotel is a little gem! Don’t be fooled by the fact that the decor is classic old style, this place is spotlessly clean and meticulous. The apartment was so clean, the bathroom has had an upgrade and is lovely with a good shower and nice little touches with a basket holding clean flannels, sachets of shower gel and shampoo and even makeup pads and cotton buds! There is a fridge in the room and drinking glasses, a bottle opener and even a shoehorn hanging in the coat closet!! Nothing has been overlooked in this place and Olan who greeted us on arrival is friendly and welcoming. There is a bar downstairs and we stayed for the 3€ each continental breakfast which was splendid. All in all, this is a budget hotel that offers much more than it costs. Highly recommended. We would stay here again!

Wir hatten ein großes, sauberes und gemütliches Zimmer mit Balkon. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und der Service sehr zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist nur wenige Gehminuten von der Straßenbahn entfernt und von dort ist man in 5 Minuten in der Innenstadt.

Ich habe dort eine Reservierung gemacht, ohne zu wissen, dass das Frühstück bis 9:30 Uhr ging. Als ich eincheckte, wurde mir gesagt, dass mir die Kosten für das Frühstück erstattet würden. Aber am nächsten Tag war die Rezeption unfreundlich gewesen und der Herr war sehr arrogant. Für mich war das ein kleiner Schock, da ich alles auf eine nette und respektvolle Art und Weise gemacht hatte.
