Really nice hotel. Staff are friendly, underground car parking and plenty of restaurants in the local area to choose from.

Lovely staff. Lovely area in central aviles. Just overall great. Don’t be put off about parking. The underground parking has lifts upto the reception.

Alles war perfekt. Zentral gelegen und sehr ruhig. Grosses und feines Frühstückbuffet. Einzig die Zufahrt zum Parkhaus ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig…. Sehr eng und steil. Aber der Lift vom Parkhaus direkt ins Hotel ist sehr komfortabel. Wir haben dort 8 tolle Tage verbracht. Ich kann dieses Hotel nur empfehlen !

Magnifique hôtel.
Hôtel toujours aussi beau, très bien situé en plein centre ville. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié, par contre la restauration est minimaliste. J'y vais depuis plusieurs années, je le trouve de plus en plus austère ce qui est dommage pour le moi, mais cela doit contenir aux personnes qui aiment le calme.

We got a room that was a bit beat up. But most importantly, there was a step up into the bathroom and then inside the bathroom, there was a step up from sink area to toilet & bath tub. Kind of dangerous for older people or even just for going to the bathroom middle of night. Property was tired and definitely not 5 stars. 3 stars at best. Location was superb. On the main plaza. Parking right underneath with direct elevator to lobby. Hotel staff gave the worst restaurant referrals possibly (2 were on scary street with no one in the restaurant during prime dining time so we didn't go in. 1 was right by hotel but food was horrendous).

Breakfast was not as good as some other hotels during our trip. We paid the most for this hotel. Location was superb, right in old town. Water temperature in the shower was not constant. Overall a beautiful hotel.

Very nice hotel for a business trip
Very pleasant stay for bed and breakfast. Comfy beds, shower was hot and desk was deep enough to work on. Breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold local food. Room service was fairly prompt and laundry dropped off at 0800 came back and was hung up in my room by 1900. Recommended.

Hotel con encanto en el mismísimo centro de Avilés
Hotel excepcional a todos los niveles. Por señalar tan solo algo a mejorar, estaría bien que cambiasen cuanto antes en internet y dentro del hotel, todo lo relativo al anterior nombre del hotel y a la cadena NH, una vez que ahora está bajo el paraguas de Meliá, con el nombre de Palacio Avilés.

5-star all the way. Excellent location; large room; all the amenities. The building(s) itself is worth a tour, including the artwork. Only issue was too much heat. Even though there was a cold spell, I kept on reducing the temperature and finally shut it off completely, but it remained overly warm. Better I guess than overly cold. Reception was attentive to the problem, but I assume it was a system-wide issue. Finally, opened a window just a bit - not ecofriendly, which is why I did not give them five-stars for that category. (Unless they saved energy by not continually turning the ssystem off and on...)
