It was close to the cliffs of Moher. The beautiful country setting with good signage for directing our days. It was about a hour from Galway but lots to see on the way in. We avoided the busyness of the city by staying at the Waters. Lots of parking, great breakfast. The owners were very welcoming. We would return. The character buildings were very beautiful. We felt like we were in a storybook.

Our only regret staying at the Waters was that we only booked one night! The setting and facilities were phenomenal, and our hosts took such good care of us. We stayed in the Granny Flat, so had our own little hideaway right next to the main building, giving us close access to the bar/lounge and spring, but plenty of privacy too. Had a fantastic full breakfast, and stopped by the nearby Newtown Castle at the Burren College of Art for a visit. Would recommend very highly and would love to go back...a truly special place to stay!

How to describe The Waters... in the best possible sense, it felt like going back in time. The photos on their website are very accurate but they cannot capture the essence of the place which is cosy, quaint and like nothing we have experienced before. The views are stunning, the staff warm and welcoming. A perfect stay.

We were met by Wolfgang, a very friendly, talkative chap, who showed us all around the common areas of the property and then to our room. The setting is lovely - beautiful Irish countryside - although the drive down the narrow lanes to access the property was a bit hairy. The bed was large and comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, and the shower and bathroom were adequate. It was such a peaceful place! Unfortunately, we had to leave too early to partake in breakfast.

This was a nice, relaxing and quiet stay for us on our road trip around the coastline of Ireland. The location in the countryside was nice and peaceful, but also close to town. We enjoyed the cozy fire room for a family game night while there. We’d highly recommend this place!
