Extremely friendly staff, great and spacious room, all very clean and well equiped. Breakfast a blast, high quality and a variety I haven‘t seen many times before
This was a lovely hotel, the decor, the staff, the comfort level, the breakfast, all within easy walking distance of Old Town Bamberg. Would highly recommend
There weren't many American tourists at the hotel, probably because the hotel doesn't have air conditioning but the room was clean and large. The buffet breakfast (at least on Sunday morning) was fantastic and included with my booking.
Beautiful hotel tucked away from the touristic downtown but still close enough to walk to. The room was clean, comfortable and had a great courtyard view.
The restaurant/bar on site was convenient with a descent spread for breakfast. There was parking on site, but you may want to call ahead and reserve a spot if possible.
Excellent place very quiet very easy to walk to town Bamberg and have multiple options for dining close by beautiful large place and excellent breakfast as well. Easy parking.
Very pleased with our room and the hotel in general. Very nice breakfast each day. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evenings, but the hotel was well located near the town and excellent restaurants. Lovely view of the river from our room.

Property is really beautiful. Staff was nice. Rooms are dated and very hot without air-conditioning.
The hotel was very nice and comfortable. As well convenient for walking in and around the town.
The only thing that would make it a awesome place would be air conditioning in your room. The fan works but nice to have air conditioning.

No AC, small rooms. Staff was friendly. Would not stay again.
We had an overall nice stay! The room and bed was comfortable, and it was pleasantly cool in spite of no air-conditioning. The breakfast was the best thing in my opinion, the buffet had a good variety to chose from and it tasted great.
Negative points for badly equipped fitness room that was not even included in fee (extra 4 euro per day), and lack of shielding in the bathroom causing water to flood all over the bathroom and into the hallway when showering.
Nice hotel, good service, helpful staff and great breakfast.
The hotel is perfectly located in the old part of town if one wants to explore the historic sites.
The only downsides for the hotel are the beds with extreme hard mattresses. They are too hard for our taste and we did not sleep well. That could easily be fixed with a softer top mattress.
Apart from the beds however, it’s a lovely hotel.

Lovely hotel but road-facing rooms not worth the £
The hotel itself is very impressive and nice. The rooms are large and roomy. No air conditioning made it uncomfortable with a baby in the heat. The breakfast was a great perk.
Our main issue was the noise, the first night we and the baby did not sleep. Granted, there was a festival that was loud until about midnight but drunk people, cars and in the morning lorries/trucks kept us awake. We were in a road-facing room and weren’t advised of this - with the heat it would have been great to open the windows but the noise made this impossible. A heads up from the staff would have been appreciated, we could have at least left the hotel to get the baby to sleep. We moved rooms for the second night which was much better, but the room was not worth what we paid for it given the noise. Similar reviews suggest this is a common issue.
