This is a really quaint hotel, the rooms are lovely and the staff are friendly, I have stayed twice in the last couple of months when travelling for work. The pub is lovely too serving a vast range of beverages. I would suggest to the property (I haven't asked so not sure if it is an oversight but was the same on both occasions) only 1 towel (although lovely towels) per person and no hand towel, also, a shower mat for inside the shower and a towel for the floor as it is extremely slippery both inside the shower and when you get out.

The room itself was spacious and clean. The pub was great loads of drink selection and the staff were all friendly and super helpful. Our only negative was weather related. The fan in the room didn't help with the heat at all. We had to keep the window open to try and cool the room. On the Saturday it was fine, however on the Friday the noise went on until around 1am from the pub garden. If it wasn't so abnormally hot we could have closed the window and there would have been no bother. We would definitely stay again but in cooler months where we can guarantee the room will be cooler. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic room, really large and parking on site. Nice little seated area which was secluded and part of the bar. Just wished they had served food, but town is only a 5 minute walk

Super place, really clean and tidy. Friendly atmosphere and the pub was magic. Stayed for a couple of nights and had access cards to get in and out. No food at the pub but beer was cracking!!

Very friendly staff made us welcome. We were fortunate that live entertainment was on that evening that added to the atmosphere. A simple breakfast is provided in the room. We used the local eateries for our evening meal, most within walking distance. Altogether a lovely stay. Word of warning the pubs ceilings are low, rooms are fine, again adds to the atmosphere but hurts when you forget.

I stayed in a room above an old pub and wasn’t expecting much, but there were several issues. The room was quite dusty with a lot of cobwebs, the floor uneven, and the radiator couldn’t be turned off, which made it far too hot. I opened the window to cool it down, but it was directly above the courtyard where patrons were smoking and playing a noisy game throwing wooden sticks, so I had to close it again. The staff were friendly, though communication was minimal. I was simply shown to my room and told to call the number on the key if I needed anything. On the plus side, the room was large, the bed comfortable, and the WiFi surprisingly fast at around 60–70 Mbps. The smart TV was a good size and worked perfectly for watching streaming services. Overall, nice staff and good amenities, but the heat, dust, and noise made the stay less comfortable than expected.

A very pleasant stay

Looks can be deceptive. I needed an overnight stay on my way to London and booked a night's stay in this pub with rooms. Easy to park and had a warm friendly welcome and offered a decent sized room well appointed and clean. No food was available, however, only a short walk from several other pubs serving food and good restaurants who can look after you. Breakfast wasn't available, however, they leave some very tasty breakfast snacks for you in the room wit plenty of tea and coffee. I would gladly stay there again without hesitation. A great little overnight stay if you looking for that old English pub style accommodation.

No access until 3pm, no staff onsite after 11. Bathroom not vey clean. Never been in a room so hot, not the owners fault but one small fan covered in dust and fluff did nothing, constant smell of weed outside and into our room did little to help. All in all very disappointed 😟

Pretty average pub. No breakfast option was disappointing as “we don’t have a kitchen” Room had contact lenses from previous year on the bedside cabinet .. place could have done with a clean tbh. Water only just hot enough for a warm shower.

Lovely welcome to a room refurbished a few years ago. Bed wasnt the most comfortable, but the main issue wsss cleanliness. Pics attached of dirt around the bath. There were cobwebs everywhere, the main light heavily caked in dust. Thee whole thing could do with a deep clean.
