If you want to feel Bangkok, I recommend Baan Kachitpan. I really appreciate the staff and owner's warm kindness. Also, It was good and happy experience to stay at Thai style house.

도대체 여기 호스텔이 평점이 왜이렇게 높은지 모르겠다 완전 속은 느낌. 카오산 로드에서 묶으면 너무 시끄러울 것 같아서 조금 떨어진 곳에 묶은 건데, 골목길 안에 빙빙 돌아서 구글맵에 잘 잡히지도 않음. (밤에 매우 무서움)너무 빙빙돌아서 더워죽겠는데 힘들었고, 침대가 무슨 돌침대 인줄 ㅠ 너무 딱딱함...매트리스가 아에 없는듯.. 카오산 로드에 구경 갈 것이라면 아에 그 근처에 숙소를 잡는것이 나을듯.걸어가기 은금 멈. 직원들은 친절 한 것 같으나,,,집이 오래되어서 그런가 방음이 1도 안됨. 나는 1층에 있었는데, 2층에서 걸어다니는 삐걱삐걱 소리 다들리고 대화소리 때문에 첫날 도착해서 피곤해 죽겠는데 잠 한숨도 못잠 ㅋㅋㅋ 태국 가정집을 한번쯤은 체험하고싶은거라면 뭐... 그런데 굳이....? 그리고 가격이 꽤 높아서 진심 괜찮을 줄 알았는데 차라리 이 가격이면 호텔에서 묶었음 ㅡㅡ;

현지느낌 뽜 친절하고 예쁜 숙소
좋았음 카오산로드 가깝고 숙소경관이 예쁘고 직원분들 정말 친절하시고 이런 점들에서는 더할 나위가 없었다. 조식은 그냥 그런 정도이며 숙박비용이 쌌는데 가성비가 좋다고 할 수 있다. 다만, 냉장고나 딸린 화장실이 없는 객실일 수 있다는 점은 감안할 부분이며 골목 속에 있기 때문에 밤에 다니기 약간 무서울 수 있다. 여행사에서 픽업올 때도 3분 정도 걸어서 길가로 나가야 한다는 점. 가족이 운영하고 있어서 분위기가 화사롭고 딸 아이가 참 귀엽당. 1층에 피아노가 있으니 좀 칠 줄 안다면 당신의 실력을 뽐내보시길. 추천 포인트는 가격, 접근성 그리고 인상적인 친절함이다.

This property is tucked away from the madness of Bangkok. It feels like another world within that world. I Loved the location because I was able to walk to so many temples and interesting things to see. Great food was also very close by. The staff was so sweet and so helpful. I’m not big on Bangkok, but the people here and this place made me feel at home and safe. When I come back, I’ll be sure to stay here again! Thank you so much❤️

Ich war sehr zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Hotel lag ein wenig abseits in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, aber das war für mich kein Problem. Die Leute, die ich auf dem Weg traf, waren sehr nett und freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben mir den Weg gezeigt, bei Ankunft würde ich sehr herzlich im Hotel empfangen und es wurde sofort immer vieles möglich gemacht. Das Personal sprach super Englisch und gab mir gute Reise Tipps für die Umgebung. Das Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich, das Bett war bequem. Das Frühstück war lecker und wurde an meine Unverträglichkeiten angepasst, es gab frisches Obst, Brot, Eier, Kaffee und Tee. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt in diesem Hotel und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis!

We arrived at 7:30, place was completely dark and shut down. Down a scary narrow lane with stray cats and dogs, dirty crammed shops. Steps were glistening (not for those with mobility issues), walls paper thin, the staff who checked us in couldn't understand "water bottle," stray cats were howling out the window, and the bathroom smelled of sweat. We braved the slippery steps and patio in the rain and left to another hotel in spite of taking a complete loss on our 5 day rental. Only appropriate for young backpackers or the intrepid. Owner was nice.

Lovely location, wonderful area, great staff!
I only stayed here one night as I had to leave back to the US the next day, but I would have gladly stayed here longer! Baan Kachitpan is a wonderful location on a quiet side street. The rooms are beautiful, the patio upstairs is lovely and the breakfast is simple and delicious! The location is amazing, walking distance to many tourist attractions and restaurants. Jam made sure everyone was well taken care of and she was there to answer all the questions I needed in regards to booking a last-minute flight home. I wish I could have stayed here longer and I will definitely stay here again next time I go to Bangkok!

They wasn’t expecting us at checking in but was sorted once spoke to the owner . Place is in a lovely area tucked aware from the hustle and bustle and very quirky . Property is a wooden building so of a night time when your trying to sleep you can hear everyone else coming and going through the night and banging and crashing of their doors . The bed in the superior room ( 102 ) is probably the hardest mattress I’ve ever slept on - probably would of been more flex on the timber floor. Cable channels advertised on Tv but should state no English speaking channels what so ever . Not the most ideal place to stay if you want a decent nights sleep .

Perfect place to stay!
This place was the perfect spot for us to relax while exploring Bangkok! It's easy to find and within walking distance to many Old Town attractions. The house is beautiful and very clean - exactly as pictured. Breakfast is delicious and authentic. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Baan Kachitpan to any of my friends.

Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. But the best part of our stay was Jam and her staff. Excellent English. It was like having a private tour guide. Fantastic breakfast.

喜歡它有家的感覺，民宿主人Jam很友善會訴説房子的故事令人深刻印象，服務很好早餐每天都有變化，我們5人住兩個房間4個晚上，蠻開心的～ 唯一不方便是在巷子裏，走路約3～4分鐘，附近有商店吃東西方便

Wonderful stay!
My stay was nothing less than superb! Jam and her staff are so kind and welcoming! The breakfast was delicious! They even helped organize a motorbike to the bus station for me (I’m sure they could get a taxi or tuk tuk if that’s more you’re speed). The house was beautiful and very well kept. Loved the location being walking distance to all the major attractions and tourist sites!

Die Unterkunft hat für unsere Ausflüge perfekt gelegen. Der Königspalast, die Khaosan Road und vieles mehr waren fußläufig zu erreichen. Auch China Town und der Bahnhof waren nicht weit. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich empfangen. Die Zimmer sind schön hell eingerichtet. Wasserflaschen auf dem Zimmer wurden jeden Tag aufgefüllt. Das Frühstück war für uns ein Highlight, denn es gab traditionell thailändisches Essen und es hat unglaublich lecker geschmeckt! So haben wir auch noch mal ganz andere Sachen als auf dem Food Market bekommen. Dazu gab es immer etwas frisches Obst, das fantastisch schmeckte. Die ganze Familie war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen! Einziger kleiner Manko: für den deutschen Geschmack sind die Betten wohl etwas zu hart und das Haus sehr hellhörig.

Welcoming and very nice owners! Flexible check-in time. We arrived in Bangkok city at 1:30 am and the owner waited for us to let us in! Quiet and comfortable but still so close to lots of the most popular attractions in the city. Very tasty breakfast!

Sehr entgegenkommend mit Organisation Fahrservice und früherem Frühstück am Abreisetag. Haus ansprechend. Mit Fahrrad - kostenlos vom Haus, wenn auch etwas abenteuerlich- gut erreichbar die zentralen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Innenstadt und in der Nähe schmackhaftes Essen zu günstigen Preisen. Für alle, die es ruhig haben wollen.

全体的に清潔感はありました。 ただ、シャワーやトイレが半屋外のような形なので、運が悪いと虫が出ることがあります…。 これは運なのでどうしようもないですね。清潔感はまあまああるので普段は大丈夫です、シャワーの湯量も十分でした。 そして朝食は毎日メニューが違い、とてもおいしかったです！

Pleasant stay in a convenient location
The Thai breakfast was good and the dishes changed every day. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't book for private bathroom and had to share bathroom with other travellers. But the bathroom was free whenever I needed it, there was no need to queue at all. I was happy to meet with Jam, who took care of Baan Kachitpan. She was a most friendly lady to chat with. The place is conveniently located at the centre of the old city, just 15-20 minutes walk to the Grand Palace, and it has over 80 years of history. It's quite a unique experience to stay here. But be prepared the walls and floors are rather not soundproof. I was staying on the first floor and heard steps and conversations mumbling through the ceiling. I slept well nonetheless. Also there were not enough hooks in the bathroom (I found only two small hooks). It would be very useful if there could be more.

Petite maison dans petite rue, au calme, très bien situé pour pouvoir faire beaucoup de choses à pied. Rapport qualité/prix excellent même si le petit déjeuner est léger, répétitif et ...pas très bon! Grande terrasse au 1er très agréable, mais chambre sans rangements pour les vêtements.

Great place, greater staff. They were so attentive to all our needs, always going out of their way with special personal touches. I highly recommend this place. The only minor problem was the cats at night, causing some raucous. It was taken care of by the staff.

De retour dans cet hotel après 2 ans. La gentillesse des employés et de la patronne est toujours au Rdv, les chambres ont été améliorées et le personnel s est professionnalisé (parle de mieux en mieux anglais). J espere y retourner bientôt. Pour trouver facilement l accès demander un petit plan que jam vous enverra par mail. Avec ça impossible de se tromper. Zone bizarre mais je voyage seule sans crainte. Situé à 1 heure environ en bus de chaque aeroport. On y dort au calme. Petit dej idéal pour commencer la journée.merci à l equipe.

The house is charming & beautiful, and the location near Old City (approx 15 minute walk) is perfect. The Giant Swing is a good reference point to give to taxi driver's - the hotel is only a few minutes walk from it. Jam and the rest for the staff are so friendly and inviting, and were helpful with offering suggestions for locations to visit in the city. Breakfast each morning was delicious and consisted of a traditional Thai dish. Be sure to have some of the lemongrass tea! The bed is hard. However, after a full day of exploring the city, I still had a very good night's sleep, and it should not stop you for staying here.
