Disappointing Stay - Uncomfortable Bedding & Room
It was a disappointing experience. It seems like the only focus of this hotel is its antiques decor which is overwhelming in quantity and hampers the common areas, such as a very uncomfortable cramped shared breakfast room and lift. Considering the high end price (higher than five star luxury hotels in BKK), the standards of comfort, service, cleanliness are very low. Struggling to meet a basic standard. Irritating problems such as: the pillows being flat and lumpy, blinds not working properly, wash basin’s plug not working, gives an overall bad impression of carelessness of the most basic amenities. However the staffs are polite, but despite the expressing the concerns above, no changes were made during our stay. The Cabochon is not the grand hotel like the photography and the high end price suggests, it is rather an independent small boutique hotel which we cannot justify the high price of our stay. In the end we just couldn’t take it anymore and actually checked out 1 night earlier to stay in other hotel.

Really like this space, it may not be a big brand/hotel but it's packed with so much details and effort in the design. From customer services to the designs of the room, I'm very impressed! The interior lighting is mostly dim, so it doesn't justify the photos taken. For breakfast, there's a few dishes to choose from and different stations from a variety of fruits, to pastry, yoghurt, juice of the day and even a small porridge station. I enjoyed the rooftop pool the most, very pretty!!

This place had such a unique, funky vibe and was hidden away from a busy street in Bangkok. All the details were thoughtful, everything seemed like it belonged, and even in the most basic room (where I stayed), it was beautiful.

This is an amazing hotel. Anywhere else, it would be a beautiful historic building with charm. In Bangkok it is simply astounding (and a blessing!) that such a sanctuary of serenity and comfort exists just off a main road.

I did enjoy staying at Cabochon. A beautiful and quiet place. Friendly staffs prepared my take away lunch for my rush to the airport, A peaceful swimming pool. I am not sure if this is specific to my room, I would like it more if I can fix the shower hose on the wall rather than holding it by my hand during my shower. I also spoiled my fruit as the hotel did not indicate the refrigerator is out of order. In general I enjoyed my stay and would like to come back.

Beautiful hotel - brilliant staff
The Cabochon is beautiful, and the staff are both very friendly and very proactively competent (even going so far as to remember I had asked about gluten-free bread on a previous stay, and having some in store for me). The wifi isn't great, but the setting is lovely.

Beautifully designed and comfortable stay
This hotel was great. Location is central and close to the BTS Skytrain. Hotel staff were very helpful with recommendations and activities. Restaurant in hotel is very good. Best part was the breakfast you are given unlimited pastries/yogurt and then can select your own breakfast meal (eggs etc..) off a menu so it feels like you are in a restaurant. Only downside was our room which was smaller than I thought and for price we paid I expected better. I believe we got the queen bed with deck room.

Elegant small hotel in colonial style.
Le Cabochon is in a great location tucked down Soi 55 just off Sukhumvit Road. We stayed for 6 nights in room 3C. The room was very comfortable although a little dark. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is set in a quiet location and has the feel of a large colonial property. The hotel incldes an excellent restaurant serving street-food style Thai dishes which were delicious. If you are looking for an alternative to big high rise hotels in central Bangkok, we would highly recommend giving Le Cabochon a try.

Unique hotel
We loved the cabochon hotel. Our only dissapointment was the room size. We booked a queen studio which turned out to be a very dark tiny room. With a 5 day stay we were concerned we'd find it very uncomfortable but after 24 hours we became used to the small space and fell in love with this quirky hotel. The staff were charming and we loved our morning breakfast and evening cocktails. If ever we go back we would book a larger room although in Bangkok these days we could get a bigger and better deal elsewhere.

Gorgeous boutique hotel in hip Bangkok area
I absolutely loved this hotel and the area. The property itself was gorgeous - set back in an alley, away from the busy main street. It was gorgeously decorated - actually felt like you were living in someone's home. The rooms are small but the main shared spaces - like the sitting area and dining room - are so lovely and cozy, you won't want to be in your room. As for the area, we were looking for a hotel that let us explore the not so touristy-areas in Bangkok. After doing research, we realized that the area we were staying in - Sukhumvit - was trendy and filled with lots of new cafes and restaurants. The perfect place to stay for those who don't want to be in central Bangkok near tourist traps.

A little oasis in the heart of Bankok.
You felt like you were in a family home of the yesteryear French era 100 years ago with only 8 rooms. This is not about the mod cons but about a peaceful relaxed space, great library and some of the best Thai food going. Lovely private pool and English was clearly spoken.

This hotel was adorable. The staff was soooo nice. The balcony is sort of pointless because it's soooo hot outside and the view is an alley, so you feel more comfortable inside in a/c. No bath tub in the rooms, fyi - just showers. But it was really fun to stay there and felt authentic and relaxed. They give you a coconut drink when you arrive. Breakfast was delightful. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Since the hotel does not have many rooms and guests, we got many help from the staff. They were indeed helpful and welcoming. This hotel is nicely decorated in European style with lots of collections, just like living in a house whose owener is fond of antiques and vintage items. Lovely. But cleaninless has to be improved. The mouth-rising glass is for found dirty and there are lines of ant on bathroom window.

Cabochon is an experience in itself. We were here on honeymoon, and have been to many places, but I must say: their staff, kindness and taste for design is just amazing. Thank you for this perfect stay. Anyone going to Bangkok should stay here, even just a night to live in the 1920s.
