Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The cabins are older but they are clean. The staff was polite and helpful. I would stay there again.

I absolutely loved the renovated cottage number 7 I stayed in! The shower was amazing and the private hot tub on the back deck was so relaxing! The guy at the front desk was very pleasant as well…..I will definitely stay again next year :)

I accidentally booked a room that was not pet friendly, they made the transition to a pet friendly room simple and quick! There was so much room for my husband and I, and our 2 dogs! The location was perfect.

Close but pretty quiet

We have a newly remodeled cottage and it was very nice and clean! The staff we encountered were friendly. The roads on property were a bit rough but at lease the cottage we stayed in was lovely and would stay there again. Only about a 5-10 min drive into bar harbor and about 10-17 min from Acadia national park.

Cute, clean cabin with extra linens and blankets. Very clean kitchen and bathroom. The only downside is the driveway is rough as others have mentioned, and our cabin was a little hard to park by due to a large tree stump. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pricing and location were excellent.

Hinckleys was just what we needed as a base camp for pur Acadia Adventure. Less than a 5 minute drive to the visitor center and 10 minutes to downtiwn bar harbor. Checkin was a breeze. Amenities were fully sticked in the room upon arrival. Im unsure if the hot tub was properly cleaned because it had an algae smell on the 2nd night. Also, the driveways are all gravel and the site has a lot of potholes so beware of your tires! Overall a greta stay and would recommend for families.

Dog friendly cabins near Bar Harbor

A very dog friendly venue, which was a key consideration in my selection. The cabins are fine. While near a main road road (Rt 3), the traffic noise was not bad. The kitchen/dining area was pretty small, but fine for simple food prep. There were outdoor grills and tables ( which we didn’t use). As a base to go to the park and into Bar Harbor for meals, it worked out well. There was space to walk the dog around near the cabins under the trees, on the grass and in some small wooded areas. The property is undergoing some upgrades ( as of Sept 2025).

Our family really enjoyed the cabin as it was close to the entrance to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It was nice to be able to cook meals in the kitchen which was stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils.

Cottage 6 was clean and newly renovated, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Wi-FI was capable of looking up what I needed, pool looks like they are fixing it but that wasn’t a need for our stay. I would stay here again.

Cute little cottages. The most comfortable bed! Just be sure to ask before using the fireplaces some are no longer in service.

This is a refurbished property with many little cabins like you had in the 50's and 60's. Our cabin had wood paneling and a mice kitchenette. It was in good repair and comfortable. The tiny porch was screened in and pleasant . Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very thankful the staff was able to accommodate a late check in request the evening of my arrival. It was extremely helpful as I was meeting friends in the area, and our plans went later than we originally thought they would.

In general, I had a good experience. We can find one or two pots/pans that are not severely scratched to make some meals (a lot of places we stayed don't have any pans that are in good condition). The location is good as it is close to the visitor center. The staff is also nice, we needed an extra blanket at around 10 pm, and they were still able to assist with that even though it has been past their office hour.

Its an older property and that's just a fact. Having said that, we had a very good experience. Two separate bedrooms with bunkbeds in one for the kids. Also a small functional kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave, as well as glassware and utensils. This cabin was ideal for families.

The cottage was clean, parking is tight and road to cottages is rough. We couldn’t figure out the volume to the tv and the flames in the fire places didn’t work the heat did. Just minor issues. If you’re looking for a place to sleep the location is good to go into bar harbor town and Acadia park.

Outside and in two different worlds

As picture illustrates property appears pre WW2 but rooms kept up surprisingly very well, Bath room especially - very cheerful, modern and clean. "Kitchen" definitely quite small but more than adequate and nicely stocked for 4. Outdated Curtains need to be replaced. Bed was comfortable. Outside the property was in need of work. Tree roots heaved the pavement so badly that 5MPH was literally the max tolerable speed. Office personnel very responsive and helpful.
