Great location right beside the train station, and close to all tourist attractions. Moreover, you get to experience staying in a historic hotel. I was greeted by the staff with very kind words and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast during my stay. 120/100 RECOMMENDED.

We had a lovely stay. Very convenient, as it’s cross the road from the train station, also it’s very central. the staff couldn’t do enough for you, they went out of their way to make sure you had a good stay. The bedrooms are a little tired so could do with a little TLC. Would happily stay here again.

It was lovely apart there was roadworks the first night and it was very noisy, they offered us two different rooms to move to the next morning but they where both very small and we had already paid for the superior room ,but the next evening there was roadworks again and they moved us to a four poster room which was beautiful and they where very apologetic, we would definitely stay again

The location across from the train station was ideal since we took the train to Bath. Also close to shops and sites. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious. No air conditioners so we were a bit warm

Loved the staff! Tim at the reception desk was amazing and efficient. Liz cleaned our room everyday and restocked our tea supplies. Please note , this hotel is close th the buss and train station. Some noise is to be expected. No air conditioning. Fan was provided in the room.

The hotel was in a very good location close to every thing, nice and clean, the special dinner was excellent and enjoyable. The room service was excellent as well along the staff. We wish they had air conditioning in the room also, staff at the front desk failed to give us day trip company information and we were truly unhappy about that.

Positives were: very conveniently situated. Friendly staff, good breakfast and evening meal. Less good was my room was very small with scarcely enough space for the single bed; would have liked the reception to be open before 8 am; more importantly felt that the hotel was in need of a general refurbishment.
