"La Playa is our go to place when we visit St Martin. It is located on the French side and it is near several French restaurants, shops and a hair salon all within walking distance.
The rooms are large and private. The maid service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and respnsive.
The included breakfast is excellent and the restaurant and bar are right on the beach.
There is a beach staff that is there to serve you lunch and drinks and to help in anyway they can. Excellent job.
The pool is large, private and well equipped with pool lounges and a few cabanas.
We have stayed at the La Playa several times and we highly recommend you give it a try on your next visit."
"The property was amazingly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cleaning/servicing of the room does not happen everyday unless you request (and pay) for it but we always got clean towels and rubbish removed when we requested the service. The hotel has a good size beach with very calm water. Loved the beach! There were a few activities throughout the day which was nice as well. The location of the hotel was perfect for dining options (I would make reservations in high season), a supermarket near by and a scuba shop easily walked to via the beach. We had a 2 bedroom - 2 bathroom which was set up beautifully, meaning, it was quiet and the bedrooms felt separate. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. We did not rent a car as one was not needed."
"Beautiful resort, friendly staff. Check in was a bit chaotic and our food order wasn't in the room like they said. Plus, they didn't have a lot of the stuff we ordered. Food at the restaurant was ok, only ate there twice. Beach was closed due to seaweed, not their fault i know. Highly recommend staying in the lighthouse condos if you have a big group.
Its located right on the border or the French side so definitely rent a car since all the activities are kind of far. Probably wont be staying here again due to location."
"We loved staying right on the beach! Our room was specious, and the large west-facing balcony was our favorite part. We watched the beautiful sunset over the ocean every night. The ocean-view pool and hot tub were just a short walk away. And it was so nice having a beach bar that had happy hour that served yummy food.
Just outside the property were lots of different kinds of restaurants, and bars, a small casino, a little store and gift shop. We also appreciated that we received a personal texted from the front desk staff everyday to see how we were doing and asked if we needed anything. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel well taken care of!"
"Overall, I thought this was a great property to stay at. It offers a beautiful private beach, several dining options, and a variety of included water activities for guests to enjoy.
Most of the staff members were kind and courteous, although a few seemed less than enthusiastic when assisting guests. One thing I noticed was a difference in how some staff members treated guests with all-inclusive bracelets versus those without them. In some instances, guests without the all-inclusive bracelet seemed to receive more attentive service, which I found a bit unusual.
Another area that needs improvement is housekeeping. We stayed for four nights and five days, and our room was not serviced daily. We had to request housekeeping on one occasion, and on another day, our room was not cleaned at all. Consistent housekeeping should be a standard, regardless of how long a guest stays.
Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend this all-inclusive resort. However, I believe there is room for improvement when it comes to providing consistent, attentive service to all guests, regardless of their booking package, and ensuring housekeeping stays on schedule. After a long day enjoying the beach and pool, there is nothing better than returning to a clean, refreshed room.
As far as the beach view... Incredible."
