Good location for biz trip in the west but....

It was at a good location if your customers are mostly on Financial Street but nothing else. First of all, the interior was quite old without maintenance. The worse was that hotel rooms were so hot, at least 28 degree Celsius every night, no matter how I adjusted the temperature. I was told that it was because Beijing yet to be ready for the air conditioner (for energy control). It was true but it just meant that their ventilation system was terrible. I moved to a low end 4 star hotel (1/3 price of this one) afterwards which was a lot better. No wonder they changed name.

日本語しか喋れませんが

到着時、どうやら予約がきちんとできてなかったようでフロントが非常に慌てていましたが、とりあえず部屋は用意できました。 ライブに行くために宿を取ったのですが、私は日本語しかしゃべれず、ホテルの方も日本語はしゃべれないようでした。ただ、Google翻訳のアプリでライブ会場に行くための手段等を確認し、丁寧に回答いただきました。その後も、アプリを使っていろいろ聞いたりしましたが、その都度丁寧に回答してもらいました。 目的がライブ参加の為だったので、ホテルの設備を利用することはなかったですが、部屋は、非常に広く清潔で、快適なものでした。

本当に高いだけ

訪問先まで歩いて行けるので選びました。期待していたのですが、本当に普通のホテルです。部屋のソファやカーペットはシミだらけで萎えます。また、工事の音がホテル内と外から絶え間なく聞こえてきます。滞在時間の短いハードな出張で幸いでした。

A business week in Biejing

The hotel is not cheap but it is nicely located for business. Weather was getting cold in November (4-7C). Did not do any sight seeing, didn't even go to Ho-Hi, my preferred bar area. Just work and waiting time for Didi (the local equivalent of Uber).

the experience is ok.

Nice hotel, but the service is not that good, arrive at the hotel at 2pm but check in on 4pm. no time to get rest. But the breakfast is good.

Great place to say but staffs need more training

We go back to our hometown every year in the past 14 years. This is one of best hotels we have ever chosen. Location is great. Rooms are roomy, comfortable and clean. Our cleaners are ver nice and friendly. The food in the Chinese restaurant is super delicious. But some staffs are obviously not well trained and hesitate to communicate with gusts. One staff in Gym lied to my wife about where the restroom purposely, thought apologied after we complained. One gateman opens your tax door ONLY if it is an expensive one.

Disappointed!!

Not up to my expectations for an Intercontinental (makes me think it must be franchised). The room I booked wasn't available until I insisted. The airconditioning didn't work properly and the room would not cool down below 24-25 C. English and overall service level was quite poor. The concierge was helpful and made up for some of the other mis-steps. We got upgraded our last night due to all of the trouble but I definitely would not go back.
