Convenient, quiet and good standard hotel

Needed a hotel in this area as base during week of meetings. This turned out to be very convenient. Front desk staff were service minded and communicated in good English. Rooms are big, clean and convenient (although could have done without the wall-to-wall carpet…). It was surprisingly quiet considering the bustling city outside. Easy accessible with metro stop nearby. The second floor restaurant was not extremely exciting and service there somewhat lacking, but was ok for quick and simple meal.

Fair choice of hotel in the west

A good place to stay if u wan to explore western part of Beijing, a little old lobby but room still olay. Big spacious room. Little food options around the area only. Good for 1-2 days stay at max

Nice hotel, great convenient location

The hotel is nice and the staff are very friendly and professional, better than similar hotels I've stated in Beijing. The hotel is on the east-west axis of the city, Chang-an Ave., very easy to get to and super convenient. It is right across the street from the capital museum. The only drawback is the limited choice of dining in the neighborhood, not much there besides the restaurant/bar in the hotel itself. However, it is not a unique problem with this hotel, but many others in Beijing, a city of government and business.

Scanning and copying business

The hotel is ok. Pretended luxury kind of interior. The room is not very big. The thing that irritated me was the price of scanning and copying at its business center. I had to copy and scan some documents on my last day at the hotel, and the guy told me it cost 30 yuan to scan a piece of paper, and 20 to copy one. I was shocked. To scan a piece of paper takes two seconds, so does the hotel aim at making the profit out of its scanning service? This is ridiculous. I refused to pay and I said I would scan my paper outside the hotel and I would give them the lowest rating I could. In the end they scanned and copied my documents of some 8 pages and charged me totally 30 yuan. So in the end I got my way, but it was still an unhappy experience.

Don't stay at 5th floor

Booked from hotel.com. Got the room at 5th floor and the corridor smells smoky. There is one company office in 5th floor. So it is not safe for the guests.

Staff are nice

It's a rather old hotel which has been renewed three four years ago. However, it look not as new as it should be. Staff work very hard but they were not as efficient as they should. Generally, room are not that tidy but the bedings were very comfortable.
