Historic Abbey

Interesting experience staying in a dorm-like hotel. The food was simple but delicious. Everyone was so polite & helpful, especially since je ne parle pas français. Someone got up extra early to drive me to the airport 45 minutes away. The booking did say “free Wi-Fi” and there is no service.

il faut y aller : ils le méritent !

Personnel (réservation/boutique/cuisine) disponible et attentionné.Petit déjeuner ++ (croissants et pain chauds) Chambre (308) spacieuse, très bien équipée (prises usb/réseau/chargeur), très confortable (matelas), propreté impeccable (linge immaculé). Le petit plus :le diffuseur antimoustiques est même présent !Environnement très calme et dépaysant : l'esprit abbaye est présent. Regrets : site en pleine restauration (nombreux espaces interdits au public), pas de signalétique jardin/parc/ tour du domaine ? Trouver une solution pour le bruit lié au déclenchement du moteur de la cheminée d'aspiration, très audible dans cette chambre. En bref, un endroit très attachant à encourager !

Un séjour hors du temps dans une abbaye ou l'accueil n'est pas qu'un mot, et au sein de laquelle, avec les villages de François, on participe à un projet très vertueux

Un séjour bien agréable

Pour ceux qui recherche le calme, c'est l'endroit rêvé. Le site est superbe. Des lits individuels, pas de télévision dans les chambres, c'est un concept inhabituel, mais rafraichissant. Nous avons pris le petit déjeuner, simple et bon. Nous avons croisé 3 personnes durant notre séjour, dont l'accueillant, que je remercie pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Les chambres (j'hésite à dire “cellules“) sont bien isolées, il y fait bon. Elles sont spartiates, mais plus de confort semblerait déplacé dans ces lieux. Un détail pourtant : les lits sont coincés entre le mur et une cloison, pour les gens de 180 cm et plus, ça fait un peu court. Les commodités sont communes, ce n'est pas gênant. En bref, un séjour différent, bien agréable. Nous avons été surpris et ravis.
