We visited with my elderly parents who have mobility issues and the staff was accommodating and assigned us rooms close to the pools. However, there are a lot of uphills to push wheelchairs and to get from the lobby to our rooms we had to take 4 different elevators. The hotel is lovely and the grounds are lush. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious. We loved the 3 outdoor heated pools. The hotel was so quiet at this time of year. The restaurants rotated in which were open daily and they were expensive but the food was good. We were able to take a taxi to Benidorm for dinner one night and the concierge was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat and making us a reservation. There didn’t seem to be entertainment at the hotel at night. We made the decision to leave a day early because of flood warnings (the DANA) and management was very accommodating in giving us a refund for that one night since it was a declared emergency. I highly recommend the hotel and hopefully will be back.

Fantastic getaway

Unfortunately on arriving it became apparent straight away that somehow our booking had been missed. The hotel was not busy so they soon found us a room. Other than a couple of minor issues, phone in room not working, no milk for tea/coffee and having to request an iron, we had a wonderful stay. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and always on hand. Food and service was very good although disappointing that some restaurants were not open.

Service levels dropping from last time.

Have been here before and service level’s are falling. On the positive side there is a new pool area, and still nice surrounding in the hotel. The negative is to less space in the open restaurants for lunch, so if you want lunch you need to book. I you are late for lunch you will not get any at the hotel. 😩

Shower was awful. Have to hold it while taking a shower. Floor got wet and I had to take 20 mins drying it out. Only negative.

A fabulous luxury hotel for blobbing out

A fabulous hotel. We stay there and we never leave the hotel, it is so lovely. Wide range of dining. Best thing is the fantastic atmospheric gardens. Some furniture in our room was just starting to look a little bit worn, but hardly noticable.

Poor service level

A truely spot on example of a poor managed staff lacking the skills to execute the level of service needed at 5 star hotel being a member of leading hotels of the world. Every service staff we made contact with during our two night stay were very disengaged and seemed like they didn’t understand the purpose of their job is to make guests feel welcomed and they lacked awareness, respect and kindness. Its been quite a while since I’ve experienced such poor level of service and commitment on all levels.

In general it is a great hotel. The amenities are great. Unfortunately, considering that it is a Leading Hotel of the world it does not hold the quality standard. There where areas that where poorly maintained that can be taken care easily such as placemats in the restaurant during breakfast where broken and some tables where damaged. What needs a little more effort is the quality of food. The food lacked taste and was not to the level of other Leading Hotels of the World. Other than this issues I still recommend the hotel and we had a lovely stay with ample rooms, great pools and kids activities.
