Ayubowan Dilrukshi, Prasanna and Travis (the American boy😉) and the whole team. Bohoma istuh-ti for your excellent welcome both very professional and very friendly because know it, the villa club people will always do everything for your well. As you will see in photo we tested almost all the Sri Lankan specialties proposed. The chef and his team are on top. Pool temperature and cleanliness at the top ditto for the very intimate garden & pleasant olfactory of gardenia and jasmine. Room/Villa extremely elegant, colonial style and it is all the interest of the place the feeling of being at home in VIP Beach: Direct access, wild and clean ideal for late afternoon walks and swimming in the rollers. The train It is very little present, it brings an entertaining and exotic note. These 7 days were wonderful and rich of beautiful meeting in a dream place. Come back longer with our three children and it will be at club Villa as one of our bases on the West side. Take care of yourself. Sylvie and Vincent CEFALU.

It was wonderful to return here - I love this hotel. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is clean and fabulous for swimming and long walks. The staff are outstanding. In many years of travel I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel staff member more dedicated than the pool guy (pool is great for swimming laps too - 25m). The housekeeping team were great too - and surprised me daily with towel ‘art’ and flowers on the bed. Excellent food too!

A lovely boutique resort! The grounds were beautiful and the beach a short walk away. The staff was attentive but not obtrusive. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Nice hotel, could use better beach setup
Nice facility, comfortable rooms. Pretty garden with pool. Pool was hot, but the hotel was adding cool water - just a hot place! You do need to cross the railroad tracks to the beach (as with most hotels in Bentota), but it's not that big of a deal - just no water views from the hotel because of the distance. What is most strange is that there is no setup of chairs/sunbeds/umbrellas or anything at the beach. On Day 2 of our stay we were able to get 2 sunbeds brought down to the beach. Seems really odd for a beach location. The ocean was pretty rough the first day, then slightly calmer the next two days - waves, but not knocking you over (we were there end of February). Restaurant staff is friendly and attentive. Food is very good, though not outstanding.

The staff are so helpful & go the extra mile for you. The pool is super & the beach so near - it’s stunning. You can easily go into Bentota town to shop or have lunch on the river.

Beautiful place to stay and relax. Green and leafy and an amazing pool and short walk to the beach. Friendly and accommodating staff who go the extra mile. Amazing room with a lovely view and huge bed!

Charming boutique hotel, decorated with taste, good rooms, helpful staff, excellent location almost on the (beautiful) beach. If you are not worried by the old diesel trains crossing the end of the garden, you will only enjoy your stay.

The best place to stay in Bentota if not in SL!
We loved this place and could have abandoned our life just to stay here forever!! The staff is the most helpful and kind! Rooms are adorable and the swimming pool and direct access to the beach a paradise on earth! We usually never dine at the hotel we stay in, but the food at the villa restaurant made us change our habit! The food is delicious, the sea food fresh and the chef manganda a real diamond! Definitly the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka and such comforting home to come back to after spending the morning surfing!

You will feel how Bawa relaxed in his cozy villa. Different atmosphere from other Bawa hotels infinity pools. I had yoga retreat in the garden looking at sunset. Good access to Lunuganga and Brief garden by tuktuk. Not many restaurants around there. Too many mosquitos so mosquitos killer spray is a must.

非常に満足しています。スタッフはみな親切でした。 予約率7割ほどと感じましたが、夕、朝とも部屋数以上の席がレストランに用意されており、待つことなく食事をとれました。 経年で少々劣化していたりといった点はありましたが、バワの手掛けたそのままを大事にしているのが感じられ、暖かみのある良いホテルでした。

THE HOTEL IS THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. THEY ATTEMPTED TO CHEAT ME BY TRYING TO COMMIT CREDIT CARD FRAUD AND TRIED TO CHARGE ALMOST 3.5 TIMES THE AMOUNT WHICH WAS DUE. IN ADDITION I HAD TO SPEND THE ENTIRE DAY AT THE POLICE STATION TRYING TO GET THEM TO ADMIT THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO CHEAT ME WITH AMPLE PROOF OBTAINED IN TEXT MESSAGES FROM MY BANK. FORTUNATELY I HAD REPORTED THE ISSUE IMMEDIATELY TO MY BANK. I WOULD URGE PEOPLE TO NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AS THEY ARE FULL OF CHEATS INCLUDING THE ENTIRE MANAGEMENT! EXPEDIA NEEDS TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST THEM BY DELISTING THEM FROM THEIR WEBSITE.

But Honestly we Could solve this very easily if you were flexible to do the payment in advance as we informed to you that we were unable to get the payment through your card details(Also we sent A Message through Expedia). Since we had to get the payment before 30 days according to the reservation Conditions & Also Most of the clients has several type of cards So if one card Didn't work they always provide another Card because they know that it is also their Responsibility to pay the bills Before Leave the premises. Hence Kindly Request from you not to mislead our Prestige Clients by Creating A Story Since we never Try to cheat our Clients as a Reputed Company which is in the Field More than 30 Years.Now a days it is A common practice to get the text message when someone try to get the payment from the credit card(Even It was Not Success) But we can find the actual transaction at the end of the day only after the Settlement Processed. So we accepted that we tried several times But we couldn't Accept that we Charged several times because any of the transaction not completed due to software issue of the machine. Finally we Could get the payment through Another machine which is based on our Corporate office Further End of the they we rechecked the transactions & There was only one Transaction Processed Through the Corporate Machine. Somehow if it Charged Twice there is no doubt It is our responsibility to refund the excess Amount Even the client Didn’t request. Also if necessary we can tell you how did you try to confused the staff saying that you already Did the payment through Expedia & What the other Guests Says about your Behavior.So we humbly request from other clients not to defend on this But Read all the Comments & Decide. Five star hotel,renowned architect, discrete staff. impeccable service, best food in 2 weeks well prepared but not precious. Lovely pool large enough for exercise. But not on the beach, good to relax and recharge.

Wir haben die letzten vier Nächte unserer Sri Lanka Reise hier verbracht und fanden es sehr schön und entspannend. + Schöne Hotelanlage + Gepflegter Garten + Schöner großer Pool + Super nettes und aufmerksames Personal + Sehr hilfsbereit beim Planen von Ausflügen (Scooter Buchung) + Leckeres Frühstück, entweder Sri Lanka oder Western Style wählbar --> beides super lecker und sehr sehr reichhaltig + Große Zimmer + Bett mit Moskitonetz + Wasserkocher und Zubehör im Zimmer + Föhn + Toll duftende Pool Tücher :) + Jeden Tag gegen 16.00Uhr fährt ein Bäcker Tuktuk vorbei (erkennt man an der Musik!) + Großer Schrank mit Büchern zum Ausleihen + Kleines Spa mit guter Massage + Die typischen Züge Sri Lankas, die ab und an durch den Garten fahren + Einfacher Zugang zum Meer - Schrank mit den Büchern war an einer Stelle eingebrochen und roch sehr modrig (in der "Bibliothek") - das Spa liegt direkt neben der Bibliothek, hier hätten 1-2 Duftkerzen mehr gut getan - Empfehlung für das Spa: vll noch Hintergrund Musik leise laufen lassen? - man muss sich etwas an die Züge gewöhnen, dann passt es ;) Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert und für ein paar Tage Auszeit super! Lage ist zum Besuch von Restaurants auch sehr gut.

Charming hotel close to the beach
We stayed for 5 nights and really loved our stay - very charming villa, nice furniture, fantastic food (just have the Sri Lankan rice&curry), friendly staff, beautiful garden. Would recommend to go for a room with terrace or balcony as we really missed to have one. Then a few things to critizise: the bathrooms need a renovation since they are a bit old. Also the walls are very thin - you hear everything your neighbour does.... Then we really missed some sunbeds at the beach as other hotels in the neighbourhood had - didn’t like the pool too much, as the water temperature was too hot and too many children at the pool. Sunbeds and some sunshades would be really lovely! And then be aware of the train that runs through the backyard, at least 10times a day, especially the one at 4:30 a.m. (every morning!) and 7 a.m., a bit annoying at first but then after getting used to it ok and interesting to watch, didn’t hear it anymore in the end. Besides that - a wonderful place to stay in Bentota!

Lovely property. Next to a railway line which has its own novelty. We had issues with power cuts during our stay which made it less comfortable but would recommend this place for rest and relaxation.

Paradise! excellent hospitality!
Excellent hotel of this class... Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious... I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Sri Lanka!

Understated elegence
This is where you go to get away from it all. Secluded, away from the noise and chaos of Bentota and surrounds, yet only a tuk tuk ride away, if you wish. The train line adds a little feature and across the tracks the beach is empty. The staff don't bother you, so if you want a drink or something to eat, you'll have to get someone's attention in the restaurant. My only disappointment was when bringing 12 friends for dinner the staff seemed reluctant to take us even though they were not busy. That said the food is good and price reasonable. It's lovely and quiet and you really miss the ambiance once you've left. Highly recommended.

Nice stay at Club Villa Bentota
Club Villa has been a good choice. I spent 3 nights there in total relax and peace. The food and the quality of it is great. The room very spacious and clean. The only downside is to be aware of the sandflies. The management after my complaint said that the garden is sprayed twice a month but probably it is not enough. Bring a good repellent.

A nice bentota experience
It was an excellent experience. Loved the hotel and the staff. Good location Beach was close, and the pool was lovely specially for kids. Also food was good too, though hotel should upgrade to better gourmet coffee. My only two comments are that rooms need a little renovation and an upgrade specially when it comes electric outlets and making sure that it's completely sealed from bugs (specially mosquitoes). Also it wasn't an issue however it would have been great if hotel can add some basic beach Furnature near the beach at their side similar to some other hotel. All in all was a pleasant stay I would defiantly recommend specially for families as the villa club offers 3rd bed in most of its rooms. Also value for money is great.

バワの趣のあるホテル
バワ設計の小規模ホテル。ホテルの前は広々とした庭がある。大きなフランジパニの木や、ヤシの木が何本もある。ハンモックと、ブランコで遊びまわる息子。その周りをリスが走り回っっていた。朝、ホテルのスタッフがフランジパニの花を摘んで、池や、至る所に飾っていた。屋根を覆うように咲き乱れるブーゲンビレア、植物と建物が美しく調和しているのはさすがバワ。 庭の前には鉄道、その奥には海。ロケーションは最高。 朝ご飯もスリランカで一番美味しかった。

So peaceful and relaxing!
Our stay at Club Villa Bentota was truly one of the nicest experiences we had in Sri Lanka. If you can't relax at this place then there is something wrong with you. The rooms are very nice and open up onto a beautiful lawn with a great swimming pool. Your day starts with a nice breakfast in the open plan restaurant followed by relaxing around the pool. A lovely man will serve you throughout the day with whatever your needs may be. At around 10:30/11:00 he will ask if you would like a King Coconut to sip on. Take him up on his offer! At 4pm tea will be served on the lawn. It is such a great little touch that makes the stay that little bit more special. We couldn't recommend Club Villa highly enough.

Its difficult to find anything not to like about this lovely place The staff are all pleasant, helpful and friendly, really taking an interest in helping you to enjoy your stay The food is nothing short of excellent, though we ate only the Sri Lankan dishes so cannot report on the quality of the 'western' menu items The very quiet beach is just the other side of the lawn (and railway track) The trains running past the hotel are infrequent and a source of interest, as opposed to annoyance, and don't run through the night to disturb Anyone using the beach would need to exercise some caution in the sea from the undertow from the waves, which is no different from most parts of the coast in the south and west, but may render the beach a more difficult environment for those with children. Similarly, at the risk of stating the obvious, crossing the railway line to get to the beach requires a level of caution The pool provides a very nice alternative to the beach if you just want to laze in the sun or chill out in the water A most enjoyable stay and will seriously consider returning if the opportunity presents itself

Wonderful boutique hotel
Lovely boutique hotel with all the little extras like afternoon tea served free every day. The standard rooms are looking a little tired and could probably use an update. Other than that, a wonderful stay.
