“Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, extra pillows on request, and a well-kept home feel. She is also equipped with celiac kitchen safety, if you should need! We stopped over for one night and wished we had stayed longer! Lovely place to rest, Jane and Nigel were most accommodating and great for a chat! All best x”

“A really pleasant stay overall. The room was generously sized, clean and well presented, and breakfast was a good spread to set you up for the day. Finding the entrance on arrival was a little tricky, though that's more a familiarity thing than a reflection on the place itself. Would happily return and recommend.”

“The property was easy to find with some decent parking. Once there I called the owner, Gaina and she provided the code for the key box. Once upstairs in the loft studio, I was amazed with the space and amenities on hand. On Gaina's advice, I went on an hour long walk near a local river and woodlands. There were plenty of dining options within a decent radius of distance. I had a great night's sleep and was welcomed with a fantastic variety for a continental breakfast to get the day started...

“I am sorry to say that the property was not what I expected. The area to park in was chaotic with cars parked all over the place so when I arrived after a traumatic journey, I was trying to find a place to park in the pitch black with no lights apart from my car lights. The room was not hoovered. The ‘kitchenette’ was dangerous due to the curtains being close to the air fryer. The toilet seat was loose, broken. There was barely a hello from the owner and he watched as I struggled in the rain...

“On arrival I was told that I only booked one child where on my booking there was 2 children. Staff was not very welcoming and sleeping when I walked through in the morning. Room ok for what we needed , beds were clean and that’s the main. Bath looks like it could do with being renewed”

“Rubbish was found all over the floor (plastic nails, bottle of water under the dressing table, half eaten cookie), bed extremely uncomfortable, food in the restaurant salty(when sent back the tone was like I was asking for more food, rather than trying to rectify error politely), no idea how this place is 4star, would never go back. Spa just re-opened after refurb, but works still going on, debri everywhere, smell of silicone in the changing room revolting. Staff on reception and spa lovely. ”

“The room did the job - but numerous issues. Missing some basic necessities like a bedside light. Had to use the public wifi from the bar downstairs which was choppy at best. The problems started right from the beginning. Check in according to the website was 10:00pm. But at 8:30pm I had a message saying I wouldn't be able to check in after 9 as the bar shuts at that point. I was on a train so unable to get there for that time, and somebody very kindly stayed to let me in, but they still...
