This hotel fit the bill for that purpose for a three-night stay, being no more than five minutes from the station on a very direct route. "Hotel is clean and simple. We rented a triple room and while it was fine for our needs, it is very spartan. You must pay an additional fee for a very simple breakfast- you’re better off walking down the street for a hot breakfast. Good location for walking to all the main attractions and close to mass transit for longer treks. Montreux has a pass for visitors that gives free rides on local transit and discounts at many local attractions. This is a wonderful bonus and made our trip easy and enjoyable. "
