I came to attend The Magic City Classic. I had stay here in 2023. I liked the area with quick access to downtown, the interstate, gas, food. The room was clean with the comforts of a refrigerator and microwave. I have no complaints about the noise or questionable guests. Overall it was very pleasant.

I've stayed there many times before and everything was fine. This time there was construction noise before 7am. I'm sure that many things will be new or improved, so in the future it will be back to a really good place to stay.

Comfortable Rest Stop in Birmingham

The Tourway is conveniently located near the Amtrak station & the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute. Check-in was simple, & my room, though showing some signs of aging, was comfortable. In sum, the Tourway is a good value for a solo traveler who wants a simple, convenient rest stop on a longer journey.

If your picky…

Over all the stay was good. I’m not a picky person with hotels/motels/inns. The are was easy to get too. Check in was quick and easy. Host was nice. However, Lots of dead bugs under the beds and in some drawers, didn’t see any live ones which was good.

Felt very unsafe, particularly with all the random men wondering around the carpark, not guests, who also are there when you check in through the window- would have preferred to be able to go into reception. Filthy walls, dirty fridge, location isn’t near anything. Bed was comfy enough

I booked this place because it was walking distance to all the activities that I had planned for myself. It’s not a fancy place, just somewhere to sleep and that’s really the only time I was there.

The owners have clearly spent money on renovating the rooms, nice new comfortable mattress and new furniture and fittings. I can’t fault the cleanliness of the place and the staff were nice. Sadly however, this was a rest stop on a long drive. The whole purpose was to sleep. This didn’t happen. The whole night long people were revving loud car engines in the parking lot. Loud music, screaming and shouting, smoking drugs and drinking. This appears to be a boy racers hang out. Police arrived twice in the early hours and then the noise continued. I think I managed about 3 hours sleep the whole night. The motel is just off the Interstate so that also adds to the noise. The place is clean and the staff are nice, but the noise here is on a whole new level of disturbing which really spoiled my stay. Bring earplugs!!!

This is a very good (clean and comfortable) motel and the parking is probably the most secure in town. . . . I had a car full of stuff and, based on reviewers comments, none of the major hotels' parking inspires confidence. At Tourway the parking lot is well lit and has a fence that doesn't completely enclose but is enough to prevent people from casually walking through. And you can park right in front of the window of your room. And it's a good motel -- I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Im still here. Im paying per day. Its expensive but im in the process of seeking permanent lodgings . Tourway inn is walking distance to my job. Its clean quiet and i must say worth the money

Hotel was very clean, customer service was great, and check in and out was quick and easy. Was nice having microwave and fridge in the room. Area felt safe, and parking lot was well lit. I was in town for a concert at the Legacy Arena, and it was a quick uber ride there and back. Would have been easily walkable also. Hotel is a little dated, and could use some freshining up. But was perfect for an overnight stay for the concert.
