Inn History Tombstone

8/10 Good
"The property is right next to where the old historic area is though crossing the Highway might be dicey. The overall stay was still above average with one pretty major problem. My partner had an issue sleeping. The rooms seemed to be outfitted with individual A/C units in the building where we were assigned. Our A/C unit had one of the most obnoxious rattles you ever heard. Fortunately, I sleep like the dead up on Boot Hill so I knew I wasn't going to have an issue. Yet, my partner is a light sleeper but he thought his noise-cancelling headphones would suffice to let him get sleep. By 6:30AM the following morning, he was more than ready to get out of that room. He realized how wrong he was about the headphones working after only getting a total of 2 hours sleep. Now, air conditioning is a must in the AZ summer so it wasn't like he could have shut it off even during the night so he certainly was suffering that morning. Now to be fair, it was probably on us not to to call up the front desk when we first heard the racket it was making and request a move. We both really thought the headphones were gonna work out. After that experience, I bought some 35db cutting earplugs as soon as I got home to take on any further overnight trips. So take my suggestion, don't skip out on staying at this property, but if the A/C rattles, speak up about it before you bother to even unpack. Still, I give this place 4/5 stars overall"

10/10 Excellent
"This is a fun, quirky place to stay in Bisbee. The old boarding house is a little difficult to get to, and I wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility challenges. You have to park away from the hotel and walk across a bridge over a channel to get to the hotel. Check-in is through the bar in the back. All of this adds to the charm. The staff was helpful, and I enjoyed spending time in the bar chatting with the owners. The decorations are charming, and the hotel has a nice little coffee service in the morning. The Olive House is old. It is creaky, and the walls are thin. You will hear other guests. You will have to share a bathroom as well. Thankfully, it wasn't fully booked when I visited, so I didn't have any issues with either. If you can embrace the excentricities of staying in a 120 year old boarding house, you will enjoy your time here."

"The staff was very friendly. We did find some insects by the window in our room but they were coming from the outside. Other than that that it was very nice."

"Outstanding service, room, and sleep quality. We loved being able to peer out onto Main Street from our room and enjoyed the comfortable bed and excellent shower. Finn was a terrific host. The ONLY thing we think could be improved are the nightstand table lamps. They were just barely bright enough to read, so 3-way bulbs would help. Other than that, this was easily the best hotel experience I've had in Bisbee, and I've stayed there at least 10 times over the past 19 years, Excellent hotel."

"We really enjoyed our stay, the Hosts, hospitality, the warm welcome, having an option to order two great shakes when we arrived which Henry brought to our room, and the breakfast to room/patio in the morning! Great views from the hill above the property. Very quiet and far from bustle of downtown Bisbee. Very nicely decorated. Loved the patios and garden, too. Will definitely be back, thank you!"

"The hotel’s historic building is a treasure. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately during our stay the elevator was not working, the restaurant was closed (indefinitely?), the bar was closed due to a ceiling leak from an upstairs room and the ice machine was broken. The staff was able to give me ice. "
