Probably the best hotel in Bissau. If you don’t speak Portuguese, the language barrier is an issue with the staff. The restaurant is fair at best but passable and clean. The hotel itself is very clean with a reliable airport shuttle very important here. Did have some issues with the bathroom flooding based on the way the tiles are laid in the shower, but the rooms are freshly remodeled good standard all in all an excellent stay

Loved my stay at the Ceiba. One of the best hotel I travelled to in Africa. Friendly service, very clean, beautiful pool. I would recommand.

This was a really nice hotel, and I enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff were helpful and pleasant and really tried to help when asked. Same regarding restaurant staff. Other staff (housekeeping) might be further trained in customer service, however. I would stay here if ever I return to Bissau.

The Ceiba is an excellent hotel. All of the staff is so friendly and helpful. I would like to recognize some individuals who were superb. Seco in the restaurant was so fantastic, very friendly. Maya, in housekeeping, did a very good job in cleaning my room. Very friendly. Jailson Saqui at the front desk was outstanding. Herculano, the shuttle driver was very friendly and helped me out a lot. All of the staff including the security guards were exceptionally good. I loved the hotel. This is the hotel that everyone should stay at in Bissau. I loved the hotel!

Clean convenient location. Not all staff spoke English unfortunately, our room booked for a family only had one towel cup etc. We had problems reading handwritten WiFi password, so we used our own Internet. Aside from those few things, we enjoyed our stay.

Good breakfast and wifi, rest just ok.

Breakfast was the best part of my stay, lot of options. Wifi worked very well. They offer complimentary airport transfers. I sent multiple messages and email for weeks but no one responded. Finally, a day before by arrival I had to call them to schedule the airport pick up. Staff in general were just ok. Not very warm. There are limited quality hotel options in Bissau. This property is supposedly 5-star but did not feel so.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. Air conditioning work. The pool and gym are nice and clean. However, the waiters are unable to get an order correct. Every food is dosed in oil. The staff is also incapable to fulfill any task on their own. The Wi-Fi is subpar. Food and drink prices are absurdly overpriced.

My family and I traveled to Guinea Bissau on the month of June 2023, we stayed at hotel ceiba. Staff were friendly and answered all our questions, hotel was great, the only thing I did not like about the hotel is that too many people from the outside that are not even a hotel guests comes in to the lobby area and take advantage of the Wi-Fi and seats on the couch and sofas, these area is specific for guests, for example there was a guy in there trying to be friendly with my family and I, he would not give us a privace that made us feel very uncomfortable, he lied to us that he was a guest, at the end I found out he was not a guest, he asked me for money, I said no way, ceiba should crack down on this situation to insure all their guests are comfortable.

We booked a comfort double room, but we got a single room. Everything only for one person: towels, water, cap, Glas, etc. We asked for a double room but got only unfriendly comments. It took long time to get the missing things. Next day same procedure. They handled the room as a single room. Maybe we get some money back!!!! The coffee maker did not work and on top it was dirty. For such a lot of money we expect more value. 5 star - I’m laughing. They are invited to come to Europe to see and expierence 5 star quality and service. Not worth the money
