"Decent room, wasn't over fussed about leaving my car in a public car park but it wasn't touched. Lovely staff, a tidy steak in the evening and breakfast was fine. Poached eggs on the breakfast menu would have been nice! I'd stay there again if I needed a room in the area."

"The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. Unfortunately the Roman blinds at the windows you couldn’t open and close which doesn’t allow you to have natural light although to be fair there is no view only a shed used for storage and also no one can see you in your room The bed was ok the sheets and pillows were spotlessly clean and the duvet and pillows extra soft and fluffy and the towels were the same. I would stay there again . It’s not 5 star but for the price and overnight and short stays perfect. The actual parking behind the rooms is limited if all the rooms are taken and require a car space but plenty in front of Greggs just a few steps away. I had no problem. I had booked it because it’s so convenient for River Cottage where I was going on a cookery course."

"Wow. This place is fabulous. The rooms are spacious and cosy. Lovely you can sit out front also. Great sunset views and fantastic food. Staff are lovely and so welcoming. I stayed for business but will be coming back for pleasure."

"The bed had hairs and bugs in it the member of staff there was not very helpful the showers were cold and to add to it all the bugs were that bad had to goto another hotel at short notice not good and would not use again even after contacting hotels.com even they could not get through to the place."

"This was an emergency stop over for me as I needed a break and sleep. Mattress was not very comfortable at all the bedroom was tidy and clean. Breakfast choice was either McDonald’s or Costa heated sandwich …not exactly what I would class as a breakfast and being a motorway service station everything was excessively expensive as well. but as I said, this was an emergency night stay and it served its purpose perfectly for me."
