"Not only the first time traveling to Iowa, but the first time staying with Grand Stay. I have to say that compared to Hilton Hotels we stay in when we travel, Grand Stay easily rivaled Hilton in all aspects. We had a King Suite with a tub, which my wife thoroughly enjoyed. And here’s the thing……. the great amenities, the King Suite, the truly lovely facility, and the very friendly staff, you’d expect to pay more than we did. And we didn’t; we paid about as much as we would for a night in a good hotel chain with a double Queen bed. And with no “club memberships”. Fantastic !!!"

"It’s was the slow season. We were served donuts and rolls. The room was very clean. The area is quiet and very relaxed. I didn’t use the pool but it was very clean."

"Never use the air conditioning, but everything else seemed to be in working order. Walls seemed to be a little thin as someone had their TV blaring or something at 3 o’clock in the morning so that was annoying."

"Hotel was a place to sleep. Bed was ok, not greatest. Pool was freezing cold. We traveled with kids so the extremely cold pool was a huge dissapointment. Hot tub was luke warm. Both pool and hot tub look rough. Staff did not make eye contact/ hardly spoke during check in. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. Bathroom tub looked dirty, our sink had draining issues, and random "dining style" chair in room seamed dated. "

"I checked out within a hour. The room was disgusting, smelled aweful, a plastic bag was over the smoke detector and there was mice. The shower had dirt in it, the towels was stained and the miniblinds were all broke. They even charged me for a pet even though i have a real working service dog. Never again and would not recomend. I stayed the night in my truck instead and i never got a refund. The owner was very sketchy. "
