“Very basic hotel but great location close to beaches and Watch Hill. Note that the two king deluxe penthouse rooms are on the fourth floor and the elevator stop at the third floor so you must walk one flight. There seemed to be only one ice machine and set of vending machines on the first floor of the main housing unit. The continental breakfast is more of a snack room. There is a restaurant next-door, but it seems to be open only in the evenings, perhaps for lunch on the weekends. Note that...

“1661 is a great hotel. It is the kind of place that is homey and calm, an escape from the fast past that can be at block. The staff is caring and very professional. The inn keeper makes each stay personable and welcoming. We have stayed here before and we will again!”

“Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing from the moment we arrived. The room looked nothing like the photos advertised online, which was very misleading. It felt outdated and wasn’t what we expected based on the listing. First impressions matter, and this one definitely fell short. Overall, the hotel did not meet our expectations, and I hope the photos are updated to accurately reflect the rooms so future guests know what they’re booking.”

“We only stopped for the night, but the property offered many amenities that our group would have enjoyed (sand volleyball, pool, fire pit, etc). The room was spacious and we enjoyed the laidback atmosphere.”

“The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room. ”

“Absolutely loved our stay at the Eureka. It’s just up the hill from the farm, and you have a beautiful view of all the trees and some water. They were so clean, air conditioned, and they have a nice little outdoor shed for storage for before and after check out which made everything so simple. They have a coffee area you can make yourself too at any time of day. They even have an area for checked out guest to use the showers upstairs and outside.
