오로라를 보기 좋은 장소
오로라 보기 좋은 위치. 예상외로 샤워실이 별도로 있는건 불편했으나 그래도 변기는 있었음.. 프론트데스크는 전화 외에 별도로 연락가능한 수단을 마련할 필요가 있음. 데이터만 가능한 폰을 가지고 있는 상태에서 연락처를 남겨놓고 프론트데스크를 비워서 근처 야영중인 여행자에게 부탁해서 통화를 하였음.

독립된 아담하고, 작은공간.
이번 여행중 제일 맘에든 숙소이다. 비용뿐아니라, 도시와 좀 떨어져 있어서인지 여러가지 시설과 분위기가 독립된 공간으로 심신이 아주 편했다.

매우 좋습니다. 아이슬랜드에서는 매우 좋은 편인것 같습니다. 추천할 정도로.. 주방시설이라든가..개별로 Hot tub이 있어서 좋았습니다. 다만, Wifi는 유료입니다.

Authentic cabins. Walking distance to a restaurant. Cabins are quiet. Warm. Decent value for money. The handler gave us an option to chose a larger cabin when we arrived.

Upon arrival, there is a note to notify someone at a certain phone number for check in as NO ONE was on site or in the office. All fine in dandy for a local... But as I was a tourist from another country, WHY WOULD YOU EVEN THINK that could be done!!! Pretty bonehead note on door. So I waited at the the door for an hour. Luckily,,, someone else showed up. That person had a phone... What Einstein, would think someone from another country could get on email. If management wants a phone call,,, put a phone than either put a phone on outside door, how else can I call

We were stuck due to a blizzard and terrible/closed roads, and the cottage was perfect! We were even upgraded for free because a larger cabin was available.

This was the most spacious place we stayed out for our entire trip to Iceland, which was a welcome change of pace. The cottage itself was wonderful. We paid extra for a cottage with a hot tub, but the hot tub experience was not what we had expected. We had to fill it, which required an employee to do this for us as we could not figure out the written instructions (and that is on us and is not their fault) ... but when we went out to the hot tub after it was filling up, it had lots of hair, dirt, and dead bugs floating in the water. We felt like if we were paying extra for the hot tub, that is should be clean and ready for us to use. Otherwise, there were no complaints at all.

Separate cabins, needs updating in terms of shower doors off the rails and coming out of the frame, exposed heating pipes next to toilet, valve on sauna broken, cluttered with extra furniture, two fridges (one broken), broken blinds that aren’t wide enough to block the light, no sponge or brush to wash dishes, dusty - needed thorough cleaning. Worst things was no one at check in desk! Had a sign to call them - can’t do that from US phone! Had to find a nice stranger and borrow their phone. Couldn’t get extra towels or help with any broken items. Never saw management.

The cottage was large and could sleep a family of 5. However the cottage is old and is in dire need of renovation. The water smelled of sulfur more than usual in Iceland. The mattresses were old and paper thin and extremely uncomfortable. The sauna didn't work.

The bathroom reeked of sewer gas smell so strongly that we had to keep the door shut the whole time. There was no one in the office at 9 pm when two young men tried to check in even though check in was supposed to be available till 10.

Clean and spare
Clean and spartan- beautiful river the place looks out to, and good little municipal pool/baths where you can shower in comfort (what is in the cabin is for emergency use only!). Hot tub was ancient and empty.

Good spot, Poor services
Fun location - easy to get to hikes and ocean and play area for the kids. The service was bad. Pillows were basically garbage, no information about the property, no WiFi, an extremely long-list of all the things guests were suppose to do at checkout (clean toilets, mop floors, etc.) plus NO cleaning products provided other than a vacuum. Last night, we had booked two smaller cottages b/c ours was not available for the third night - yet, when we got there we were told it was, but b/c we booked through Hotels.com they would / could not refund the difference (almost $100).

Il n'y a pas de réception et nous n'avons pas reçu d'autres instructions que "appeler à votre arrivée" mais l'appel à été laborieux car la personne que nous avons eu au téléphone semblait comprendre l'anglais mais ne pas vouloir le parler. Sinon le chalet était spacieux et très agréable. Nous avions tout le nécessaire, il y a même un spa extérieur et un barbecue. Il faisait juste un peu froid dans la salle de bain car la fenêtre était mal isolée.

we stayed in Cottage number 4 which had a bedbug infestation. We have been bitten so badly that we have had to receive medication. I have written a report about this last week which you did not publish. The communication is terrible with the host, there was about a metre of snow against the front door. We had no option but to dig it away with our bare hands which took around 10 mins, not even a shovel was provided. I am asking Expedia to request a refund on my behalf or i will publish photos on every site that this disgusting property advertises on.

One Night Stop along the Ring Road
We made a stop in Blonduos on our return leg of the Ring Road. It was a bit hidden from the road but luckily we had just stopped at the gas station to fill up. The small cottage was nice for two people. There were a few things I knew beforehand from previous reviewers but for the price I think it was a nice accommodation for a single night. There is a smell of sulfur when you open the faucets or take a shower but it was no big deal. Neither the TV or the wifi were working but we each brought along a book to read before sleeping. Didn't get to use the small kitchen but it had a small range and fridge. The restroom was open at the top of the wall to the bedroom/living room which was odd but unless you're not comfortable with the people you stay here with, it shouldn't be a problem. The check in was very easy, as soon as you go down the road from Road 1 the first building to your left should be where the office is located. Overall it was a good choice for the single night instead of driving through a winter storm.

нас было четверо и забронирован 2 Bedrooms Cottage, который как я и ожидала, нам не достался (а могли бы засесть в hot tube), получили 2 домика, один из которых с хорошим ремонтом, но без душа, наши друзья ходили к нам, в остальном - домики разные, но всё есть, всё работает, тепло и тихо. Только без интернета, пришлось ходить ловить wi-fi где-то на улице, но терпимо + хорошая цена. Рядом река, церковь. За 12 дней путешествия местная вода из-под крана запомнилась самой богатой сероводородом 8)
