The property was not as described. Ceiling paint was falling off. Moths in the room, non smoking facility had been smoked in recently. Walls were stained with a brown film similar to tar on walls. The bathroom was not clean & there was hair in the tub. The room smelled of mildew and smoke. The key cards didn’t work twice. Once in the room looked made up. But it was not. Had it not been the only place avail we would have returned the keys and kept moving. The staff was friendly. When I left I waited in the lobby where I noticed the fixtures were outdated and cords running everywhere. There was paint peeling off ceiling in there too. No one was in the office to return the key so I had to leave them on the computer keyboard in hopes someone would find them. Hopefully they did. Would not stay again. Would it recommend them. Not worth the $180 for the night.

I stayed at this property over 8 years ago, back when it was the Days Inn; at the time I enjoyed my first stay, even though I only used the room to sleep in and didn't really spend much time in it; when I planned to come back to Blue Ridge in May of 2022 I decided to stay in this same hotel to relive the memories; but I was wrong. The room wasn't very clean, had black mold on one of the light switches, blood on the shower curtain, my fridge didn't work, my room didn't have a smoke detector in it. I don't even think the hotel had wifi, so I really had nothing to do while in the room. I was supposed to stay in the hotel for two nights but ended up only staying one night as I didn't like the conditions of the room.

The lobby is all blocked off, only a window for service. Behind the window are wires and cords hanging for cameras and I'm not sure what else. Tried 3 different rooms before we got a key that worked. When the door closed you could see significant daylight, hole in the shower wall, toilet....definately needed attention it was leaning and the top on the back of it didn't fit. The beds were clean, that is the only reason we didn't leave. Oh and there was coffee in the room but.....no coffee maker! I wouldn't go back, it was too run down. The desk clerk was nice.

Big Dog friendly hotel
Was happy to find a place that allowed our big dog a place to stay. Refrigerator and comforter were disgusting but the rest of the place, most importantly the bathroom, was clean and comfortable.

Could not lock the door. The door jam was complete off the wall. Microwave in the floor. Ice bucket under the leaking sink that filled up within five minutes of being and not using the sink. Asked the property manager for another room. And he said no this is the room for expedia guest. All other room are for guest who pay for price.

This is a nasty motel. There were blood stains on the floor in our room and cigarette ashes in the bath tub. The door looked like it had been kicked in a couple of times. We wouldn’t even sleep in the sheets. We went and bought sleeping bags and pillows so we didn’t have to touch the bed. 0 star rating

I chose to stay at this hotel with my kids due to the proximity of what we had going on. I knew it would probably be to cold to enjoy the pool, but figured my kids would at least be able to go visit and or stick their feet in the water after a long day of hiking. Another bonus was the fact that they offered continental breakfast. I was not so fond of the idea of it having outdoor access, but after reviewing some photos and reading some other reviews i had overlooked this minor drawback. Upon our arrival they provided notice that they have restricted much access to the lobby and have canceled the continental breakfast as well as drained the pool. They also were limiting the room service as well. This was supposedly due to COVID. I don't believe this is the case as transmission rates are substantially low and there has been no mask mandates. While walking to our room, their were 2 doors that were not occupied that had their doors wide open. Once in our room, it looked decent with the lipstick upgrades, but the shower felt like it had a whole under the tub and the room was dirty with hair, dirt and grime. I believe alot of the changes and cut backs was due to financial reasons more then COVID. If i could have canceled and gone somewhere else i would have. Do not stay here, you are not getting what you pay for. We wont be back! Hotels.com you should hold your businesses accountable for proper advertisement. In my opinion this was a false advertisement by the HOTEL.

Fromthe time we arrived there was a note on the window due to covid that we would not have continental breakfast, there wouldnt be alot of housekeeping which was fine. We got our room and was appalled at the condition. The bathroim was very dirty you could take your finger across top of toilet tank and see a line, tub was disgusting & vent didnt work. Smoke alarm had no battery. ceiling fan light was hanging by wires & the microwave had mold all through it. Did not feel comfortible saying anything, didnt want our room to be gone in while we were gone. Very disappointed with our stay at the hotel. We do have pictures and hope to contact management to fet some kind of reimbusement. 5nights over $600 should at least have clean & safe room.

Whew! I always wondered what it would be like to sleep on a Flinstone bed and I think I've done it. The main light of room didn't work nor did the light over the sink, the ballast was burning out. The exhaust fan to the bathroom didn't work as well. The continental breakfast doesn't exists -- or at least we weren't told where and what time it was. The pot holes entering the property were deep, we found going over the curb was easier on the vehicle. Bring your own facial tissues they stock an empty box. The AC unit wouldn't shut off. It was either stuffy or super cold depending on what you had on the unit.

Property old and not in good shape. Floors squeaked noisily in several places. No globe on the overhead light. Toilet tank cover didn't fit right and made noise. One of the sheets had a hole in it. No breakfast despite it being advertised as being available. Very disappointing. Premium price for a not premium hotel. Will not return.

The roads near the property really need some repair but that is not the property's fault. The room was very clean and comfortable. I'm not sure if renovation was going on but there was some old equipment just hanging in the stairwell.

The hotel manager tried scamming me for “taxes” that I know was already paid and later confirmed I did. Terrible place definitely choose elsewhere , I wish I would have! Had a lovely stay here when I was passing through recently on a solo road trip. Rooms were clean and comfortable, parking was freely available right in front of my room, and the location was convenient. The service was excellent; I was greeted warmly and they helped me a lot figuring out my hotels.com booking and making sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again if I am passing through the area. It was an excellent value and a nice experience.

When we checked in we found there would be no breakfast of any kind and the pool was closed I understand things have changed due to covid but other hotels at least provide prepackaged breakfast items. We got nothing. This is why I chose this hotel over a different one. When we got to our room there was no refrigerator. They did bring us one the next day. We spent 5 nights and traveled with kids and were disappointed.

Flea Bag Hotel is literally what you are in store for. There had to have been 137 flies in the room, especially on the window, ceiling, and "lights". Oh, and in the bathroom. This "Non-Smoking" room smelled like someone had smoked a carton of Camels in there 5 minutes before I opened the door. The "King" bed was smaller than any Queen bed I have ever seen. The lighting inside was so bad I wish I had brought a flashlight so I could see in the bathroom. The Mini-Fridge did not work. Well the light came on when you open the door, but it was warmer inside the refrigerator than it was in the room. Good times, good times....

Looks like youhad majore problem with mountain fly.We try so hard and petscontrol work evert week on but still we had some issues in summer time.but we wll keep working on and contorol the problem.That room is bigger but bed is king size room bigger thats why bed looks smaller also sorry for you had problem with refrigertor.We will fix that as soon as possibl.Your feedback is very very important for us.

It wasn't horrible but the popcorn ceiling in our room(112) was failing off...badly. It was noisy...we could hear everything above us. The sheets were mostly clean but had what looked like a cigarette burn in them. There were boxes everywhere in the hallway with what looked like a/c eqp. They looked like they had been there so sometime.

The back of the hotel has an overflowing dumpster with huge pot holes at the entrance. The room itself was disgusting. My toddler found a beer cap on the floor which leads me to believe it wasn't vacuumed. The microwave and fridge were filthy. Huge clumps of hair in both sinks. The towel holder was broken off from the wall. Cookies in the air conditioner unit. Crumbs in one of the beds. I really do not think my sheets were changed from the previous guest and the sheets that covered the bed frame are covered in old water stains. Overall filthy room. Also, the website doesn't mention the pool is not open.

not clean, finger prints all over doors and mirrors, bathroom door doesn't lock because there is no doorknob plunger, hole in ceiling, pealing paint, dirty shower walls and floor, spots on shower curtain. plumbing in shower is not strapped so it almost pulls out of the wall. Inch of dirt on the bath fan. half eaten fruit in the drawers. People on the property asking for money living in a van. Tried to cancel 2nd night - hotel says call expedia and expidia says call the hotel after an house wait. Still got charged for 2 nights even after checking out the next day. They have a pool but it was not filled when we stayed.

Just a gross hotel.. we stayed here two years ago and it wasn’t as bad as it is now.. it honestly makes me angry how much we paid for one night for this hotel but we needed a room and this was literally the only hotel with rooms available. We had dried blood on our door, a hole in the wall of the bathroom so when you sit on the toilet, you have a hole glaring at you straight ahead. They attempted to clean half of the mirror, the rest had just been sprayed and left to drip. The little handle bar in the shower was broke off, the water went cold throughout two showers. A chair in the room had crumbs and whatever else ALL over it. One chair had a cigarette burn in the seat part. The dumpster was over flowing in the back. Through the outdoor hallway between floors, the top by the stairway had just random sheets laying on the ground, a McDonald’s bag and just trash and whatever laying everywhere. The vending machine was out of service and I’m not sure if they advertise a pool but just no.. it looked like it hasn’t been used in years and the grounds we’re just god awful. It was also weird and the only experience I have ever had of a man(a worker or owner or whatever) coming to our room around check out time to see if we were staying or leaving.. he did this to all the rooms and would just unlock and open the door.

The property was absolutely appalling. We were given a room that was occupied and when given new keys upon entry the place was filthy. The bedding was torn and shredded. The bathroom was filthy. The front door had dirt all over it. We have still not received a call from Expedia in regards to a refund as we did not feel comfortable staying there.

Quick overnight.
This was a quick overnight stay so not much to note. Cleanliness was just ok but the beds were comfortable. Towel rack in bathroom was broken and bathroom fan made a loud screeching noise when turned on. The towels were small and not very soft.
