Customer service was very disappointing. Zero help at front desk. Zero help with a late check out after checking in late at night (no full just wanted me to rent another day so I could cook lunch at the rental.. the whole reason for renting there) NOPE... out at 12 noon then asked if i could use the second floor to eat my food I cooked early.. NOPE you can go to the park outside they told me. Horrible. At noon, they treated me like a guy off the street and not a renter.

The place was great overall. The apartment i was in did not have a working washing machine which would have helped since my luggage was lost on the plane. Also the bed was not very comfortable. Overall if the beds would be more comfortable i would 100 percent stay here again. Right now i am only at 85 percent. Location could not have been better.

The apartment is VERY clean and surprisingly modern in a place surrounded by the old and dirty city. The communication was difficult because I don't speak Spanish and they did not speak English. Organizing a shuttle to pick me up was a bit difficult and I was unable to do that until the day I arrived at airport, which added stress. But, the driver was very prompt when picking me up to take me back to airport. The apartment had a coffee pot but no coffee. You must bring all coffee, cooking oil, etc. And only one small bath towel and a small hand towel. The bed, sheets, pillows and warm blanket were excellent.

Bueno más NO es cierto del desayuno incluido.
En general fue muy confortable la habitación, la atención fue muy buena excelente atención al cliente. Negativo que ofrecen desayuno gratis en el hotel y resulta q ni siquiera tienen restaurante muy mal q ofrezcan ese beneficio y no sea cierto.

Aparta Suite Edificio Continental Bogota: Nice & clean apartment; one big room; helpful reception, some of them spoke some English. Somewhat loose tiles on room floor & the shower room water tap did not work properly, but otherwise OK. Near downtown & shops & restaurants. Many Cambios nearby. Very nice location.

Different Experience Second Time Around
I've stayed here before and had a great experience but my stay this time left much to be desired. The Apartment WiFi never worked and all attempts to fix it were unsuccessful. I had to rely on the wifi that was available in the lobby (which only worked in one spot of my room), the tv in my room had no signal for the first five days until the receptionist called the cable company to fix it. In the kitchen the cookware was mismatched (none of the lids fit the pots and pans) and there wasn't a proper kitchen knife (keep in mind my last stay was in the exact same room, 208, and none of this was the case in the past). They said if the issues persisted they would move me, but that never happpened. We went to the restaurant downstairs and was told that free breakfast was foor BlueDoors costumers, not ApartaSuite customers, and the meal was overpriced (and wasn't good). That said, the staff did a great job with upkeep in the room, every day the room was thoroughly cleaned, and the staff responded to my requests as soon as they could. The hot water in the shower functions properly (which isn't always the case in Colombia in my experince) and Hotel Contintental is conveniently located next to a supermarket and a few restauraunts. Despite the negative feedback I would give this place one more try, but I am hesitant to recommend it to others

Location of the hotel is exceptional. Near the main attractions of Bogota. The facilities are clean, and provide security. Since it is located in tourist destination, it is noisy in the evening. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy wifi. Nevertheless I was offered another apartment, only the day before we were leaving. The apartment was just as portrayed in the website.

Nice hotel, walking distance of several sights
We had 6 people so we needed to take 2 taxis to get to the hotel. The address that was given on the website caused the taxis to bring us into the Bogota slums. While both taxi drivers individually refused to let us off at that address (because there was no hotel there and because it was dangerous) our taxis did not arrive at the same time and there was a great deal of anxiety because we could not communicate with each other. After the taxi drivers each made phone calls, etc. to locate the proper address we all finally arrived at the hotel after a great deal of time, money and stress. It was not an experience any of us would choose to repeat! The hotel itself was clean and spacious and conveniently located to interesting areas. It is on the corner of very busy and noisy streets with a bus stop right outside the bedroom windows so bring earplugs!

Great if you want to be mocked.
Horrible. Staff asks you to read the instructions on your reservation. Apparently, they do not work with Hotel Continental. They tell you to go somewhere else. As they laugh at you, they point you to another desk with staff who point you to a mailbox. As you open the mailbox, they give you a stack of envelopes each one containing a key. Keep in mind the male staff is watching and laughing at you. I've stayed here before and everything was great. What prompted this complete change in service, I don't know. I'll never return. I believe it's because I'm a foreigner and do not speak English. I was sent a response from management that I would be hearing from them soon. It's been ten days and I've heard nothing. Do not stay here unless you want to be mocked. Good luck trying to find out what to do.

People at the reception works for the Hotel Continental while we are from the private apartasuites. We from the private apartasuites offer self cattering apartasuites with daily cleaning service, not the conventional hotel service. We apologize for what you felt people at the reception did, nevertheless they do not work for us. Hope you understand the situation. In any case we hope you accept our sincere apologies. The Aparta suites Continental
We went to Bogota for 1 week and stayed at the Apart Suites Continental and I can say it was fabulous. We had a room with 3 full size bed, a complete kitchenette with all in it, 2 refregarators, and the room was everyday clean, a lady came everyday clean the room and that was included in the price. The Hotel itself has a tremendous restaurant and its good price for quality food, I cannot complain any of there food, everything is good there, including service. Hotel Continental is in the right area to stay, it has everything around, from the Olimpica supermarket, Waffle & crepe, Sabor al carbon restaurant that offers u most on bbq, the gold museum, shopping places, and in taxi in about 7 minutes you can reach the MONSERATE peak, THE BOMB for everyone a MUST go. I really recommend this hotel and with Expedia this was just pay on expedia.com and reach the hotel without any extra cost.

Deluxe apartment (Aparta suite)
Last time (March-April) I stayed there on floor 3 in a deluxe apartment and I was a little disappointed because of the 1 bed I got in the room instead of 2 as it was mentioned in the Expedia website. This time I got another deluxe apartment on floor 2 and this was just fabulous because of the 2 beds I got in there. Everything was good, nothing to complain, it is full equipped and clean. Location is tremendous, you got lots of good restaurants near by, supermarket, Juan Valdez café around the corner, vision to Monserate and a park where you can go sit there. I really recommend this Aparta Suit Continental and I will sure stay again next time I am in Bogota.

Good value, but you arent staying in actual hotel.
Good location not far from Museo D'Oro, Plaza Bolivar, Botero Museum, small restaurants. This rental is separate from the hotel. If you have an issue, hotel staff just keeps repeating they are not responsible. This large unit was well supplied in its full kichen. Downside: not well laid out or attractively furnished. Colombians said the area was not safe, although I did not feel unsafe at any time.

Nice place for a longer stay
This was an apartment and would have been terrific for a longer stay. I was only here two nights so I wasn't able to take advantage of the kitchen. And I had to struggle with my luggage, which wouldn't have happened in a regular hotel. But it's in a great neighborhood for sightseeing.

This apartment was nice, clean and has everything you need for a stay -vacation period but it only have 1 double bed, not as it was mentioned in the description. However, there is a sofa bed but no pillows -sheets, nothing to sleep on it, it is a leather sofa bed and the cold is very heavy, so since the owners don't have anything to put on, it is a 1 double bed only. Besides that, everything is nice in that apartment but the location beats everything there.

Pros: Fantastic location. great wifi, spacious apartment, very clean Cons: Shower water luke warm, the cooking hob was not great - a dinner that would take usually 20 minutes to cookm took over one hour. Room was next to main street which meant at night and during day it was very noisy so brin gear plugs!

Great location, only a short walk to the Avenida Septima and the Presidential Palace area (Plaza Bolivar). Lots of shopping and restaurants by the hotel. After 10pm the immediate area of the hotel area is a little dangerous. Only negative of the hotel is that not once during the 5 days there did they clean the room or change the towels (although I requested this).

Blissful experience from this Bogota suite
My stay in Candelaria in Bogota was incredible. This location was optimal for everything city-scaping. The hotel, initially, was disappointing to have me wait til' the suite owner had given the reception instructions. I don't really know who's at fault(apartment owner or reception), but maybe next time, this situation could be avoided. But after that mishap, all was incredible. The youthful staff was fun and hard working. I thought that they really are attentive, but I am pretty low in maintenance. Overall, I would definitely recommend this specific room choice for the size and amenities. Not to mention, the location. Blissful experience.

We booked the room, confirmed with the hotel manager and upon arrival they did not have the room we booked. Instead they tried to put in a smaller room that wouldn't accommodate the 5 people we reserved on the apartment suite. So, they gave us taxi fair and we had to find a new hotel. Will never use this hotel again.

Close to Everything in Candelaria!
Nice hotel near to everything in Candelaria. Housekeeping should have done a better job cleaning our kitchen facilities which were dirty when we checked in, but we cleaned them ourselves and ultimately had a good time. Wi-Fi was not working in certain rooms at the hotel, but always available in the lobby area. Coffee shop in the basement is fun to go to and have breakfast there. With a little more sprucing up this could be a great hotel for all to stay in during their time in Bogotá.
