Great little hotel in the business district! Staff are courteous and professional. However, the area can be very loud most nights with music and loud talking.

Do not stay on the ground floor
I am very disappointed with our stay here, we paid for a "suite with bathtub" and instead were shown to a room on the ground floor, 102. I just double checked and this room is not in one single photo on hotels.com. It was right down the hall from the lobby and had no windows to outside, only a small window into the hallway. This window had a cut and hinge midway through it to crack open and because of that there was no soundproofing at all so we could hear noise from the lobby all night long and heavy footsteps through the ceiling. The room was MUCH smaller than the pictures and smelled stuffy due to no ventilation and there was no bathtub. Both lamps did not work, and the bed was incredibly squeaky, uncomfortable and sunk in at the middle. It was so bad that I slept on the couch so my partner and I would stop waking each other up every time we turned over. Incredibly disappointing. The staff were friendly, location was ideal, and breakfast was delicious, just make sure you are actually getting what you've paid for and what is shown in the photos.

Hotel bem localizado perto de atrações e com restaurantes e cafés no entorno. Quarto limpo, com ar, frigo bar, cama confortável e banheiro com boa ducha. O café da manhã era no 5andar e bem variado e saboroso. A recepcionista Flor foi muito atenciosa e prestativa assim como o Pedro que fez nosso transfer para o aeroporto e o Felipe que preparou e serviu nosso café da manhã.

A clean and tidy hotel that is close to the things you need to see in the La Candelaria area. Very friendly and helpful staff and a really good breakfast. I've stayed here twice and I'd really recommend it.

This hotel was really disappointing. We arrived from Cartagena on a Friday and were immediately discouraged. The location of the hotel is up this random driveway off of the main street. When we got to the lobby, it was clean but underwhelming, with no elevator. Additionally, we are not fluent Spanish speakers and this hotel did not speak any English, which made things difficult. When we got to our room, it was pretty small and very basic, had no air conditioning, and no screens on the windows . My biggest complaint with this hotel was that it was SO LOUD. It's located close to a bunch of bars in La Candalaria and we were kept up until 5am. In addition the walls are extremely thin in this place. Every time someone flushed the toilet or took a shower it sounded like the water was going to come into our room. We were booked for 4 nights and after getting one hour of sleep the first night we booked a new hotel in the morning and left. The two positive things about this hotel were that the breakfast was actually very good and they were accommodating when we decided to end our stay early. If you are looking for a hotel that you can relax in, this is not the one. Also for two people, the largest bed size they have is a double, which can be tough for some.

Good central place to stay
Hotel was clean and comfortable and the service was good. On the edge of the Candelaria and an easy walk from the main sights. Being so central meant it could be a little noisy during the daytime, but fine at night. Hotel offers airport transfers at a reasonable price.

Ein Albtraum!
Wir wurden in ein falsches Zimmer gebucht und man wollte uns nicht einmal die Differenz auszahlen. Der Chef war nicht zu sprechen. Wir checkten um 10 aus und durften erst um 15 Uhr ins neue Zimmer, zahlten jedoch den vollen Preis. Das Personal war unfassbar unhöflich und hat sich nicht einmal für die Umstände entschuldigt. Bis heute habe ich kein Geld erhalten, trotz der Tatsache, in einem in der Kategorie weit niedrigerem Zimmer untergekommen zu sein. Keine Möglichkeit des Gesprächs, da man immer unterbrochen wurde und einem sogar die Schuld gegeben wurde. Es war einfach nur anstrengend und enttäuschend. In all der Zeit in Kolumbien das mit Abstand unfreundlichste Hotel! Absolut nicht empfehlenswert!

perfect location, great service. fantastic breakfast. front desk allowed me to check in early. made coffee in the morning at 4AM (i had a flight to catch at 6) one down side - a lot of noise from the street (i was on the 4th floor). but - i suppose that's to be expected for living so close to all the main touristy bits of bogota. and if you can't climb steep stairs on a winding staircase - stay on the ground floor! highly recommend it.

Excellent staff, but uncomfortable room
I don't like to give a low rating, because the staff is very nice and professional, but the room itself was very uncomfortable. There was almost nowhere to put anything. Only two night table small draws and counter over the chest-high half closet. I didn't even unpack, because there was so little storage space. The bathroom had only a very shallow, medicine cabinet--NO COUNTER AT ALL. It was bad enough for one person, but I can see two people driving each other crazy in this room. Maybe this can be excused by the term "Boutique" -- I don't know, but it made the whole experience very uncomfortable. For the price, it just wan't justifiable. I know they have better rooms than this, but the one I got wasn't worth that price. It could be great hotel, if they just provided better furnishings of the room. If you go here, make sure you can see the room before you pay.

We only stayed for one night, and we arrived late from our flight. The room was much smaller than we expected, but it suited our basic needs for the night. Very friendly staff, comfy bed, basic amenities.

Great location
Better windows would make it quieter. Breakfast was basic but good. You can pay extra to get a bit more. Airport shuttle worth it.

Amazing hotel for tourists!
This should be at lease a 4.5 star rated hotel. 1st class experience at a budget hotel price in the US. Very close to all the tourist attractions. Highly recommend the gold museum, emerald muse, and Monseretti (the big church on the hill) all within 10 minutes walk. Exceptional staff, English channels too!

Un pequeño gigante
Al llegar al Hotel Avenida Jiménez su tamaño lo hacía parecer pequeño frente a otros hoteles y edificios alrededor de él; imagínese, ahí a pocas cuadras se encuentra el que será el edificio más alto de latinoamérica. Pero, además, parecía un pequeñin temeroso ubicado en una pequeña contraesquina y casi sin frente. La cosa no parecía pintar muy bien que digamos, afuera oscuro, solitario por ser día festivo, algo frío y con llovisna; ¡ah! pero al entrar al hotel todo cambió, Primero que nada, su gente...muy amable, atenta y considerada con el presupuesto que tenga uno. De charla amena y fácil, me hicieron olvidar el frio y el hecho de estar lejos de casa. Luego de cena por ahí cerca un tipo de hambuerguesa única y muy rica, me fuí a dormir. Desde el primer momento me enamoré de mi habitación, la 201, ¡Ah! y también de la cama, no extrañé la mia.Los dos días siguientes fue descubrir un hotel dificil de describir...ecléctico, vintage con hippie, oldie nuevo...lindo, muy lindo. Enclavado en La Candelaria, una área antigua donde hay una intensa actividad estudiantil universitaria, de jóvenes alegres pero estudiosos y muy amables tambien, este hotel resultó lo más adecuado para mí. Gracias a las orientaciones del personal, en solo dos días pude conocer puntos esenciales de esta gran ciudad Bogotá. Algo más, el hotel está a pocos pasos del Monserrate, gigante que custodia la ciudad y ofrece vistas únicas. ¡ Un hotel pequeño gigante, atendido por personal de corazón grande grande!.

This in not a hotel for large people, the room, toilet, stairs are all smallish, however the service is huge and the neighborhood is mega...and the best pub in town is 50 meters away
