"Entire floor smelled of wet dog. Our room smelled of strongly of wet dog and something else even though we picked the non-pet room. Slept with the windows open to try and lessen the smell with the indian restaurant next door so the highway noise was very evident. There were either dirty or permanently stained towels in the bathroom. The carpets are all heavily visibly stained with ground in dirt/stains visible everywhere. Some stains looked like toothpaste smeared into the carpet. The carpet was sticky. We were to tired to try and get a better room, if possible, so we just slept, didnt shower and left in the morning. Would not stay here again. But at least they have free breakfast."
"Great place to stay. Room was clean, large, comfortable. The private bath in our room was small but otherwise fine. Owner was very friendly. Enjoyed the common area with comfortable couches and being able to keep food cold and ice packs frozen in the fridge was nice. Didn't use the kitchen but it looked well equipped. We liked the quiet location away from the highway but still walkable to downtown. I would stay here again when in Smithers."
"I booked a room here through Expedia and they never reserved the room for me. Arrived after a 375 km drive and found that they were sold out. If you're going to advertise on Expedia, FOLLOW THROUGH with Expedia bookings."
