"We arrived by train. Short walk to Moana Hotel where we had booked a motel unit for one night. Staff very helpful and we were given maps and local places of interest. Good view of the gorgeous lake from our unit. Good pub food at the Hotel. The friendly staff drove us back to the train station the next day."

"Not as good as when I stayed a couple of years ago. The room wasn’t very clean and the shower gel and shampoo had run out and not been replaced. Was quite musty smelling which wasn’t great for hayfever. Was quite disappointed. "

"We stayed 1 night, we were passing through (off season). Few guests, all quiet, morning breakfast alright, price was fair. Shower and restrooms adequate with soap and plenty of hot water, towels provided in good condition. The only issue i had was that this lodge was very far from the road, up a gravel road with no guard rails at all. Either it was not disclosed or i didnt find it on the website. Very scary getting up to the lodge after sunset, in the dark, dodging rabbits left and right."

"WARNING: only hotel in the world with a 16:00 check in. If you can’t be bothered to staff the hotel at least leave a key box like every other hotel. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to waste waiting for 16:00 so checked into the Beachfront hotel in town for the same price and standard check in. "
