위치는 좋았어요. 숙소도 전반적으로 잘 준비되어있고 캥거루 코알라 등 동물을 볼 수 있어 좋았어요.수영장 관리를 좀 더 잘 했으면 하고 방에 있던 선풍기는 사용할 수 있는 상태가 아니었어요.

All very nice apart from parking, didn’t fancy parking on road and walking to apartment at night time

Thank you for your feedback. When you are staying in a studio there is not a dedicated carport like to have with the one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, however we supply at least 12 off street car parks. It is a busy time of year and we are sorry that you were unable to find a park within our complex. We are really happy that you enjoyed the complex.

Soundproofing lacking
We stayed in a single room that had an adjoining door that had someone else staying in. The door was not sealed and we could hear the other people talking. Very noisy & no soundproofing at all. Water pipes also very noisy hearing them shower. The beds were very comfortable though.

During this time of year there are a large number of guests in the resort and noise can be an issue due to the proximity of the rooms. We are looking at soundproofing options for the adjoining door. Thank you for your feedback.

Huge apartment. Great Location. Excellent communication with the Apartment Manger, Bill. Kangaroos lazing right outside our door. Lots to keep the kids busy and an easy walk to the pub. Highly recommend The Islander for your Straddie trip.

This is definitely no “resort”. Next to no car parking facilities on site for paying guests to park their cars on site. The general condition of the room was well dated and is extremely overdue for renovations. Walked down to reception twice to gain access to the wifi services which was stipulated in the information booklet however both times reception had a “be back in 10 minutes” sign at the sliding door entry. The only thing I was impressed with my stay was the level of cleanliness of the room.

we were in an a joining room - and we heard everything in the other room - there was just a door - ran out of hot water after 2 mins in the shower but it was a clean room

Loved the location Didn't love that there were no recycling facilities That the dishwashing liquid was single use plastic, also single use soaps... can do better protecting your beautiful island.

Its quite an old and outdated building from the outside however its a nice and tidy hotel with beautifuly landscaped gardens.

Great place for a family holiday
The Islander Resort is ideally located on Nth Straddie to access all that the island has to offer. The managers of the resort were friendly and welcoming, the rooms extremely well outfitted with everything you could possibly need. The pool and tennis courts a fun distraction for the kids.

Very expensive for the apartment. Had hardly any crockery. No jugs or serving dishes. Oven was not clean. Bathroom so tiny.

Exactly what I wanted in a holiday room! I took all my own cutlery/bowls/plates and everything I'd need to clean but it was all provided! Friendly, approachable people & amazing location, you definitely get your momeys worth - I'm going back next year!

Apartment close to the beach
Nice comfortable unit, clean and bright. Was a bit disappointed that it was not a bit more modern considering the overnight tariff. The noise from other units and the smoking from other units was a bit disappointing. It is in a great location, close to most food places and of course, the beach.

Right across from the beach and a nice walk to Point Lookout (there is hills). Great cafe for breakfast a 2 minute walk away. The bus from the ferry drops you across the road. The property was clean and affordable.

Comfortable but quite old. Pool very cold and not heated. Hot water did not last long enough for 2 people to have short showers. Washing machine only, no dryer.

The WiFi did not work and the bathroom sink was blocked and unusable. Aside from this, the location was convienient (15 minutes walk to the point lookout grocery store, shops, and hike) and was great for travelers looking for a place to crash. Overall, very quiet and comfortable.

I won’t be back
We stayed in 8A, probably the biggest problem was the cleanliness. The outside of our room was covered in wasp nests, it made me feel uneasy to go outside. There was 2 spiders in the corner of the bathroom and mound on the ceiling. I never used any of the coffee facility because when I opened the cupboard in smelt like vomit. The pool was nice, the air con was cold, we were barely there so didn’t have to suffer with the room. They also had a tennis court - you had to pay to hire the racquets and ‘lost balls’ I understand paying for the balls but have never been to a hotel to pay for racquet hire.

No phone, no wifi
The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. My mobile phone provider is Virgin and I had no coverage at all while at the hotel but it was OK on the rest of the island. There was no wifi except near the reception and limited pay tv channels. The creepy crawly was always on in the pool.

Not really what the pictures and review showed.
There were quite a few items that did not operate correctly - e.g. clock,sliding doors, powerpoints, broken chairs and even though we were given a Wi-Fi access code we could not connect to the internet. The staff were not really forthcoming with information and not friendly. The unit itself was not overly clean.

Excellent location, close to everything.
Getting a few retro flashbacks wth the inclusion of vhs players in the rooms, but quite comfortable and roomy. Only suggestion would be to extend the wifi accessibility to all rooms, not just around the office area. Unless your mobile carrier is Telstra, your mobile is basically an expensive clock, Wireless access would keep you in contact with the outside world, when necessary.

Terrible experience :(
Although close to the beach, The Islander was a massive disappointment. As soon as we checked in, staff was unfriendly and rude. Didn't care about us as customers more about payments and receiving money. The room itself was half decent but provided with the oddest array of kitchen utensils? Instead of normal items we had an upside cake tin and broken tongs. Almost all of it was dirty also. Reception was also always locked so we had to deal with two rolls of toilet paper for 4 days..was ridiculous.
