"This was a total catastrophe. We had made this booking several months in advance. It was our first destination on our 50th anniversary tour. First off, we arrived totally jet lagged hoping for a place to recuperate only to find it was closed until May 30. We received no notification from the hotel or Hotel.com. A local kid found someone to open a room, but it was very substandard for the price. Never again. And I am not happy with Hotel.com for letting this happen."

"This is a high-end destination place with a wonderful pool. However, if you have a pool, people will use it; if they use it, you need to have staff who can make sure it's clean and that there are enough towels. If you offer water, make sure the jug is full. As for the room, look at the photo in the website: even a standard room has a curtain over the bed to soften the harshness of the whiteness of the room... it's not too much to ask to have the actual room match the one in the photo... Finally,...

"My dog was warmly welcomed and the staff was super helpful with suggestions on what to do in this gem of a town. I have never seen such a clean town. Not a paper on the ground. The hotel is extremely well located on a quiet side street. Will definitely go back. "

"While I truly wanted to enjoy my stay here, it was not possible. First the positives: the property is beautiful, the restaurant serves excellent food and wine, and the staff were truly helpful. Unfortunately, the rooms suffer from water damage and ventilation challenges and have a musty smell. I hope that the property can address this issue in the future. Overall, I highly recommend the restaurant but not the hotel."

"My family stayed here for one night and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel and rooms are freshly refurbished, the air conditioning, wifi, and elevator worked well. There is still a minor aroma of paint smell on the first floor, hence we suggest booking a room on the second floor. Overall, it was a great experience."
