Very nice stay in a well maintained hotel. Easy for a short bus ride to the center, or even walking there. The hotel is small, basic breakfast, very clean and comfortable. Nice clean bathroom, very good heating and WiFi. The reception desk was very knowledgeable and always ready to assist and give good advice. Recommended

Gold Hotel is a good value for money, "no-frills", clean and comfortable location that is in Buda; but a relaxed walk (30 minutes ) from Pest. Great staff both at the front end and the dining room. Has a hearty breakfast buffet. The only reason for my average rating is that this location did not seem to be a 4 star location..in my opinion. I would reccomend this location for value travellers.

Looks older, but is kept in real good shape and very clean. It was very hot and according to Expedia airco was included , but it was only available for an extra fee. However everything else, including the breakfast was great.

We would go back here again

A small characteristic hotel where the staff were very professional and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and clean. The only disappointment was that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but there was a fridge and safe. However, the breakfast selection and choice of foods was plentiful and varied. The hotel is on a slow incline of a hill when walking back from the town (about 15 minutes walk) but well sited.

Very nice family hotel.

Very nice hotel in short distance from old town. bus station 150 m from the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Somewhat oldish decoration but very clean and we loved it. The only downside is that it's located on a main road. They did give us a room facing the side but yet you could not open the window because of the noise.

The hotel was only a walking distance to the Budapest Congress Center. And not too far to the City Center. The staff were helpful, I have a good experience in the Hotel. Dont stay there.

When reaching the hotel we found the room to be somewhat clean, could have been cleaner. There is a minibar, but you are not allowed to use it to put water in. There is not even a kettle in the room for coffee/ tea, let alone any means of heating up food. There's nowhere in the close area (10 minutes walk) to eat aside from a strip bar, and no grocery store. After a day we noticed water coming through the window. When a loud and drunken party came in to one of the floors (unluckily it was ours) the entire floor was awakened at 2AM and there were shouting and singing for over 30 minutes before it stopped. The closest bus/train stop is also 10 minutes walk, so you have to use taxis (or walk a lot). there's nothing to see in the vicinity, its an old residential part of the city. After 3 out of 10 days we decided to leave the place.

AnlÀnde i hotellet pÄ kvÀllen efter en lÄng resa. PÄ plats fick vi veta att hotellet saknade restaurang Min första kriterier vid bokning var just restaurang / kvÀllsmat dÀrför fick betala för en 4* hotell. Man luras enligt hemsidan med meny och beskrivning av restaurang fast hotellet stÀngde restaurangen redan under corona. Blev hÀnvisad till nÀrmaste hotell Charles 400m. Inte dÀr heller finns servering pÄ helgen VÄrt rum för 3 pers i tornet ganska litet Man stÀllde om AC för uppvÀrmning fast det var 20 grader under vÄrt vistelse Inga normala fönster i rummet. De smÄ gick inte öppna pÄ grund av vÀldigt högtrafikerad vÀg framför, Àven pÄ natten! Badrummet Àr jÀttelitet. Ingen krok för klÀder eller flera vÄta handdukar. Endast 30cm bredd tork. I rummet hittar man inget informationsblad, sytillbehör inte ens en skohorn Hade högre förvÀntningar pÄ frukost ocksÄ. FÄ platser och i den mindre matrummet Àckligt smutsig heltÀckningsmatta. StÀdning i övrigt var inte som i en 4*hotell. Positiva Àr att personalen i receptionen och vid frukost Àr vÀldigt trevliga och ger bra service. Bra lÀge i centrum Kort avstÄnd -en kvart till Margit bron och bara nÄgra minuter till busshÄllplatsen.
