Being charged for unknown reason
I was charged $100 more than the room cost when i checked in to just hold, then didnt get refund when i checked out. I asked to hotel via hotels.com and the hotel explained that i had ordered $100 breakfast menu on my last day of stay. They dont even have seperate menu for breakfast and i had breakfast included service. I still didnt get the clear answer nor the refund. Considering the currency rate of argnetinian peso, $100 menu for breakfast is also absurd. Plus they predicted it when i first check in???

LOcalização muito boa , café excelente, restaurantes (Lobby bar e Alvear roof top ) excelentes. único inconveniente e a falta de tomada do lado da cama, aparelhos tinham que ser recarregados na sala ao lado.

I was, in the past a great client- the property is run down- the elegance and service is now of a 3 star hotel- very disappointed! Will not return!

I loved the hotel, staff was very nice and extremely helpful. Our flight arrived at 8:30 am and we received an early check in without even asking. And again allowed a late checkout. While BA can be unsafe I never felt that in the Recoleta neighborhood. I highly recommend this hotel.

Best in Buenos Aires!!
I stayed at the Alvear twice on my recent trip, the first time for 3 nights and then for 1 night. I stayed in a suite and a junior suite and everything about my stay was fabulous. The service is wonderful, the concierge gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The breakfast area is absolutely beautiful, one of the nicest I have had at a hotel. The rooms have the charm of an old grand hotel whilst being in excellent condition, clean, spacious and well appointed tech-wise. The rooftop bar is a must for a pre dinner cocktail. The location of the hotel is within easy reach of Palermo by car, Teatro Colon, san telmo etc etc I cannot wait to go back!!

The Alvear Palace is a wonderful hotel. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located in a wonderful area and our room was very elegant and comfortable. We would love to stay there again!
