5/5 - Excellent
Just an incredible place to see and experience especially to get a feel for the culture of the Philippines, very different world from life in the U.S. but I was expecting it..

Property is down a small muddy dirt road and is at a different place than what's listed on the website. The TV wasn't working our entire stay despite numerous calls and messages. We also had a few water leaks so we had no running water for 12 or more hours.

Butuan is really not all that exciting. We visit every two or three years only to see my wife's family - I don't believe we'd visit again if not for the family connection.
It's an interesting town, visited some shady bars and was rewarded with some bucket list experiences. It's a small city in southern phillipines, a little dilapidated but the people are friendly overall.
a lot of foreigners there
