Nice Cairns Motel

Warm welcome from owner showed where to park and chatted about where to eat etc. Room was comfortable and had all necessary facilities including swimming pool . Walking distance to pubs and cafes

Good size apartment, containing everything you could need. Washing machine and dryer came in handy. Area is a long walk to the main areas of town, but has a nice local bakery and stores nearby. Good welcome and friendly staff. Covered parking good in hot conditions. Only minor issue was noisy plumbing when showering but otherwise quite.

Easy to find, centrally located and the onsite staff were very helpful. Considering the daily rate, we did not consider the unit value for money. Both the fit out and crockery etc all badly need upgrading.

The unit was a studio and nice size, very clean. We enjoyed using the grill for dinner too. The owners were helpful, friendly and helped with our transportation needs. John even drove us to the Reef Terminal one morning. It's a bit over a mile to the main part of the Esplanade and harbor. We did walk it several times. Otherwise it was about $9 US each way for a taxi.

I was very impressed and grateful I could pop up to my room before it was ready for me to drop off my cake that I had transported up from Townsville and was allowed to put it in room. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Unit was comfortable and clean abs had all amenities that we required. Will definitely stay there again.

Excellent place to stay, close to food outlets and grocery shop. John allowed us ti leave our excess gear there while in Fitzroy island and was happy for us to have a late check out as our flight was after lunch. I could not speak more highly of John and his property
