Location was the best thing about this hotel, busy hotel with a great breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet is gluten-free friendly and foods are labelled which is nice with a separate gluten-free station and toaster.
The rooms are very dated, however clean for what they are, cracked tiles in the bathroom. Barely existent water pressure and mould on bottom of the shower curtain. Service upon check-in from office manager was fantastic. However the service in the hotel was substandard at best- took over 25 minutes to get a coffee on the first morning, and even then we had to leave and never ended up getting it. On the second morning, it took 20 minutes to get a coffee and a further 15 to get a hot chocolate. Excessively slow . No concierge available at all to help with bags upon either check-in or check out.
No one checked the booking notes either - (my daughter and husband have severe feather/down allergies and I’d requested and phoned the week prior to confirm that bedding without feathers would be used- they reassured me it would be fine) within minutes of our arrival my daughter needed to use her medication as she was finding breathing difficult. Room had 8 feather pillows and beds had feather doonas.
Was very disappointed and probably won’t be returning. Waste of money for us.
