"We had a bad experience with the hotel's social media support and management, but the hotel itself is very beautiful. The views are spectacular, and the staff's service is excellent—they're always available when you need something. I especially want to highlight the attention and the food from the cook, Lili. I truly believe the hotel would lose its essence without her. One thing to note: there are a lot of stairs, so you need to be in good shape to access the rooms."

"Beautiful place with fabulous staff willing to do ANYTHING to make your experience better. Expedia does not tell you it is insanely difficult to drive to and near impossible without 4 wheel drive. That's really essential information and a massive failure on their part. The reason the property doesn't have parking is that nobody drives there. They don't even have a sign on the road. I dove with Costa Rica Dive and Surf, which left from their office in Uvita. The dive equipment was in great shape and they had multiple dive masters with us. The Cano Island dive it a sandy bottom, easy, 60 foot dive, with light to medium currents. I didn't see a ton of great stuff, but this school of fish was worth it in itself.

The trip includes two dives, an island trip, snacks, lunch, all your equipment rentals, etc. $175 per person for the day. Expensive, but supposed to be one of the best dive sites in CR, so worth it if you're in the area.

"My husband and I found this property that was right in the beach. You can hear the waves you are that close. We took walks on the beach and Kenneth helped set up the scuba and snorkel trip we too that picked us up on the beach !! We had a room with outdoor kitchen and balcony with hammock and a view of the ocean. We would return to the same room if we visit Drake Nay again !!"

"Consider this more of a rustic camping-like experience. Cabins have screens, but bugs still come in. Incredible location! Spider monkeys were swinging above our cabin every morning, holwers start up at day break, and capuchins befriended us at the beach. Scarlett macawas everywhere, we saw them constantly, as well as toucans. The beach immediately out front is wavy and rough, but my kids still jumped in the waves daily. The highlight is San Josecito beach, a 17 minute walk along the ocean. It is a calmer bay with a reef and plenty of fish. We swam with a 4-5 foot sea turtle for half an hour. This place was deserted until noon every day. Food was excellent, fresh and traditional. They make fresh fruit juices daily! Staff are very lovely and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. It was a very memorable part of our trip and we felt fully immersed in the jungle at ocean forest."
