Do yourself a favor and stay at this magnificent place. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed and I have stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world. This is HANDS DOWN, the best value I have ever received. This place should be charging over one thousand a night. All the amazing small touches are there, the rooms are unique, huge and beautiful. The common areas are instagram worthy. The grounds, the pool, the gardens..........just WOW.

We enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. The quirky and colourful decoration of the hotel added an element of fun. Unfortunately we had booked the Attic room (Lord of London) which was up some very steep steps on the second floor. The door to the room was just at the top of the stairs which made me cautious as I opened the door to descend the stairs. No stair rail. If we had stayed in another room, I am sure we would have given the Chateau a five star rating. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to use the spa .

A very special place with impeccable service

We had a truly memorable stay at Château de Maubreuil. We stayed in the Venice room, which was absolutely spectacular — incredibly spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches like a complimentary bottle of champagne and nightly turndown service with sweets. The staff were exceptional — nothing was too much trouble — and we were even granted a late checkout. Dinner at the restaurant was a highlight: decadent, elegant, and delicious. The bar was equally impressive, with fantastic cocktails in a beautiful setting. The château grounds are stunning — you could easily spend hours wandering and relaxing. We did wish we had visited in summer to enjoy the pool, and it was a bit disappointing to learn that the spa is no longer operating — we would have loved to use those amenities. Also, while the food was exquisite, it was quite rich — more casual dining options would have been a welcome addition for longer stays. It’s worth noting that the château isn’t close to central Nantes, so we ended up spending quite a bit on taxis — but we were aware of this going in. Overall, this is a very, very special place — elegant, peaceful, and indulgent. We’d return in a heartbeat.

Wunderschönes Chateau

Tolles Hotel mit Liebe zum Detail in der Einrichtung. Leider ist der Service zwar allerliebst aber eine Katastrophe. Es fehlt an Schulung und Struktur. Das Essen Sonntags verbuche ich als Missgeschick. Eigentlich unzumutbar. Der Pool müsste belebt werden… Trotzdem ist es eines der schönsten Zimmer die wir auf dieser Reise hatten.
