Nothing like it's described!

Nothing like it's description, paid for two suites, no description telling you that you have to take a boat to the hotel, when we got there they had one room not in either catigory that we paid for. Had four twin beds, toilet was broken in half, water was leaking into the room, had no wifi as described, air conditioner did not work at all, door didn't lock. You can't make this stuff up, it just kept getting worse. Takes to others staying at hotel and they had same experience, so it wasn't isolated. Couldn't call Expedia because there is no cell phone device on that part of the island. Front desk refused to let us use land line. To be clear I have never taken the time to write a review before, this was just to bad to not write one. Waisted 1000.00, however the food was half decent and edible. Lol

Per qualche giorno di relax!

L'hotel e la spiaggia con il mare sono veramente belli! Se si vuole godere appieno la pace e il bel mare consiglio di evitare il week end quando si riempie di barche con la musica a tutto volume, di moto d'acqua e di venditori (frutta, bibite, massaggi). Calcolate che sarete fuori dal mondo per il vostro soggiorno non essendoci il wifi.

Un paraíso caro pero encantador.

El entorno es un verdadero paraíso. La casa del Hotel es un edificio con encanto y esta limpio y prolijo. Falta invertir en renovar ropa de cama y toallas y en algunos detalles de la habitación, fundamentalmente en el baño y las facilidades para guardar la ropa, que son simples estantes sin puerta y sin posibilidad de colgar perchas. Necesitan renovarse los servicios de tumbonas en la playa. No hay más opciones que la vida del hotel, incluso para comer. A pesar de estar en la info del sitio Hoteles .com como incluido, no hay wifi en el hotel. El desayuno es limitado y no hay pan. El transfer que ofrecen hasta la isla tiene una parte del trayecto en lanchas de muy mal servicio, la parte por tierra es en vehículos muy buenos.

No vale el dinero que se paga por ir allí

El hotel tiene todo el potencial para ser bueno, y por el valor que cobra se esperaría que así fuera, pero no es más que una casa de ensueño dedicada a un muy pobre servicio de alojamiento. El lugar estaba vacío, los únicos huéspedes éramos mi hijo, mi esposo y yo, ¡no había nadie más en el hotel!, y nos dieron la única habitación que no tenía vista al mar (o sea, la peor habitación) con esta respuesta: "es porque ustedes reservaron a través de hoteles.com". Al llegar, después de una travesía que es casi una aventura (tema que DEBE mencionarse en la información del hotel: llegar a este lugar es muy difícil y vale USD 140, ida y vuelta, adicionales al valor del hotel) tuvimos que esperar 30 minutos en una mesa en la recepción para que limpiaran la habitación que nos adjudicaron. Los platos de la carta son pocos, de muy pobre sabor, y toman 50 minutos en servirse. No hay wifi, la piscina es muy sucia sucia al igual que el comedor, no limpiaban la mesa después de que comíamos (repito, ¡éramos los únicos hospedados!) y la cantidad de moscas en el ambiente puede superar lo que una persona promedio es capaz de tolerar. La playa es divina, pero no hacen el esfuerzo por cuidarla ya que se ven los restos de basura. La casa es una joya de la arquitectura, pero no están haciendo las cosas bien. No vale el dinero que se paga por ir allí.

Hübsches Hotel in paradiesischer Umgebung

Wir wollten während unseres 4wöchigen Kolumbien Urlaubs einige Tage an der Karibik entspannen. (Familie mit 2 Jungs, 14+17J). Von den Expedia Bildern war ich sofort begeistert. Die Anreise mit dem Boot hat prima funktioniert. Das Hotel hat veranlasst, dass wir mit dem Taxi an unserem vorherigen Hotel in Cartagena abgeholt wurden und auch die Abreise über Land (da das Boot erst nachmittags fährt ist das eine gute Alternative) hat reibungslos geklappt. Bei unserer Ankunft waren wir total begeistert - ein traumhafter Strand und ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Hotel mit vielen gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten. Es sah tatsächlich fast alles so aus, wie auf den Bildern. 3 Tage hatten wir das Hotel (es hat 5 Zimmer) ganz für uns alleine und ab 16 Uhr, wenn die Tagestouristen weg sind, waren wir sogar alleine auf der Insel, da es dort keine weiteren Hotels gibt. Wir fanden das traumhaft (auch die Jungs) aber man muss es natürlich mögen. Bücher/Spiele sollte man auf jeden Fall dabeihaben. Das Hotelpersonal ist supernett. Es ist allerdings sehr vorteilhaft, wenn man Spanisch kann. Das Essen wurde direkt am Strand an einem langem Tisch serviert. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen: Das Internet funktionierte an den 4 Tagen, die wir dort waren, überhaupt nicht. Aber wer benötigt schon Internet im Paradies :-)

Pase 5 noches en el mes de marzo, y el servicio fue muy malo, no hay menu de comidas, no wi fy, los banos no trabajaban bien y tocaba usar baldes de agua, las comidas tenian una demora de una hora o mas, y pagar la cuenta fue una odisea por la desorganizacion

Overbooked, no apologies

I found it impossible to contact this hotel from the US after I made my pre-paid booking on Expedia. Once in Colombia I had my hotel in Cartagena call. They were told that Agua Azul was overbooked and had no room for us, despite our having pre-paid. Although they offered to refund our money, we were already in Colombia so we accepted their offer to put us in a different hotel which we were told was equivalent. They stated the new hotel was right next to Agua Azul and we could use the facilities of Agua Azul as we wished. We accepted. As a "courtesy" they included the cost of the boat ride to get to Baru. Upon reaching Baru on the hotel-arranged boat transfer, we were told to get off the boat at Agua Azul. Thus we disembarked at a small dock in the middle of nowhere with no one there to assist or explain. We walked for a bit and found the deserted Agua Azul. Eventually someone showed up and said that they had no room for us and that we had to take another boat to get to the other hotel. While looking around the hotel, I saw that there was an empty triple. While we waited for the boat to take us to our substitute hotel, another party of three arrived and was given the room I had seen. We had arrived first, and should presumably have been given the empty room that had been booked twice. The hotel we were taken to was in no way equivalent and even including the boat ride, we substantially overpaid for the new hotel. Very disappointing experience.
