โThe Chef went above and beyond coming to our table to explain how he created his dishes. The food was excellent. The front desk manager took time to come to our car and help us figure out how to pay the parking since it was all in Portuguese. Saved us!โ
โThe most magical place I've been to! The hotel is an old estate and they have redone it beautifully. The staff was first class, the food delicious and there were so many activities to sign up for! Spa was impressive with the hydrotherapy, cold plunge and different saunas! We will definitely go back!!โ
โAn incredible location but you definitely need a car to get there. Itโs high up in the hills. Narrow roads but easy to find with Google maps.
Host does not speak English but daughters do. Beautiful continental breakfast with sliced meats & cheese, yogurt, cereals and muesli, coffee, tea, jams & cake. โ
โQuinta da Vacaria was absolutely wonderful. The views from the hotel of the Douro terrain is magical. The staff is friendly and helpful which makes the visit extra special. An added bonus is the wine making facility on the property. We enjoyed a tour of the winery and tasted their wines in the perfect setting. โ
โEstadia incrรญvel! Recepรงรฃo muito atenciosa, quarto limpo e confortรกvel, o hotel รฉ esteticamente lindo, parece aquelas casas de filme, muito fofo! Cafรฉ da manhรฃ รณtimo, lugar silencioso e super acolhedor. Parecia que tรญnhamos o hotel sรณ pra gente, piscina vazia e um clima adorรกvel. Nao tem estacionamento, mas na rua do hotel tem um supermercado onde tem convรชnio com o hotel e podemos colocar lรก sem taxa alguma. Voltarei com certeza! โ

โBeautiful renovated property inside while maintaining the rustic charm of the stone houses that are so traditional in this part of Portugal:) beautiful views overlooking the Douro valley . Right in the center of town and walkable for restaurants :) very friendly staff โ
โCasa de Canilhas is the most beautiful property. Staying here was like a dream. The view of the Douro valley & river are breathtaking. The rooms have a rustic vineyard feel, but are beautifully upgraded with modern standards. The infinity pool was perfect temperature & overlooking the valley of grape vines. The daily breakfast was delicious and so fresh. More than enough. the staff was very pleasant & have the property in pristine condition and well maintained. I canโt wait to come back. โ
