“A very pleasant surprise as a solo guest. Needed an overnight stay for an event in Abergavenny, went with no expectations, just needed a comfortable, clean place and that's what I got. Yes the place needs a bit of tidying up, decorating, updating of furniture but that doesn't bother me as long as everything works for it's purpose which it did. “A fabulous place to stay. We were greeted with a very welcoming pot of coffee after a long journey. We were told of things to do, places to eat but as we were going to a wedding the day after we couldn't do any walking. The room was clean and the bed so comfortable and lovely toiletries were in the bathroom. The breakfast the following morning was incredible, better than a lot of smart hotels we have stayed in.
