The staff was very helpful and friendly. The on site restaurant, The Bayfield Bistro, was very good...the food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Looking forward to staying there again!!
In the small town of Bayfield, this is a great place to stay. It's cozy, well maintained and easy to access. This is our second time staying there--everything was quick and easy.
We're looking forward to trying their new bistro next time we're visiting.
We had a great stay at the Ashwood Inn. Our room was larger than expected (the king suite), clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were helpful with any questions we had and the Indian restaurant was excellent. We will definitely be back again.
The room was clean & quiet. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Close to Bayfield shops and restaurants. Convenient location to both Bayfield and Goderich.
Excellent place to staybwith family. Near by nice beaches and great lake huron. Great hotel supper clean with nice pool and sauna. Firepots and nice trail for a walk. Has kids playground. Owner realy making this place be a great place to stay.
There were hydro problems in the area that the hotel staff had to contend with which they managed well. This however impacted our stay which was enjoyable none the less
The staff is super friendly and kind
The towels were not replaced but we asked them to change and and they did right away.
It’s one of my favourite hotels in Bayfield. Relaxing vibe. Wish you further success and will see you again
Very friendly staff. Had a problem with the tv set up but the young lad at the front desk came right away and guided us through the process efficiently. Room was renovated and good space. Even had a table and two chairs. There’s no phone, you have to use your cell. We left early around 7:30 am and no place to deposit room key so we left it in the room. Lighting in the room was very poor. That’s the main reason we didn’t give a 5 star rating.
Very clean everywhere. The room was spotless. The owners were very helpful and nice people. Couldn't do enough for us. If we called for something, they were right there! We couldn't get over the size of the property. Many things for kids to do over a few days. Best to go for a couple nights on the weekend with kids because otherwise the slow days during the first of the week, not everything is open. We will stay again.
Room not very clean. No real soap or shampoo conditioner. Over all location was very good, atmosphere outside very nice. I feel over priced for what we revieved.
Thank you
Great location 5min drive to beach. My family really enjoyed the large landscape of nature at The Ashwood. We brought food in coolers and used the complimentary bbq.
Large tables to sit family to eat outside. The fridge in the room was spacious and cold. The pool is ideal for winter but the sauna is great! The fire is nice you can purchase bag of wood for $10. We brought s’mores. Bring bug spray to more enjoy at night. The nature trail was lovely. We enjoyed the text msg communications.
Would stay again for sure. Bring all your summer supplies and would recommend 2day stay or more to enjoy the weather in summer.
The hotel was conveniently located and reasonably priced. It was clean and well appointed and the management were friendly and helpful.
However the only downside was that the wi-fi could not connect and we could not use our phones or tablets. We told management and they gave us alternatives, however, none of them worked. While it's not a huge issue, but rather inconvenient as there were a couple of things i needed to attend to, which i was not able to do.
