Nasty toilet and lots of moisture

Hotel is terribly dirty. Got to my room to find out a nasty toilet. Pictures were probably taken years ago, but it does not represent real condition of hotel. If possible, avoid it.

Awesome place to stay for a relatively low price.

It was a good decision to stay at the golden plaza. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable for 3 person stay for a night. The road leading to hotel was in a bad shape, but all the troubles in the lead up to the hotel were worth it given the price, the warm reception at the desk and ease of checking in. The hotel staff was very accommodating and allowed me to park my car for two additional days beyond my stay for no additional charges. The staff also was very helpful in booking a cab for our further journey. All in all, a good place to stay given the relatively low priced rooms, proximity to Chandigarh and the highway to Shimla and or Delhi. Cheers!!

Location is not really good but the hotel is excellent. Outside the hotel is very poor but once you enter the room is very nice

Mr Adarsh at front desk was not competitive for job. He was not sure how much rooms I have booked. His behaviour was weird. Room service was horrible. The fridge in the room was empty. Bathroom towels if someone see cannot take shower. There was no hair dryer in the washroom. No provision for ironing. There was complete absence of hospitality in the hotel staff. In my opinion this hotel should not be on your list. Due to all this my family didn't stayed for full three days and checked out one day before original check out. It was all money waste and first time we had this worse experience through Expedia.

My stay at Chandigarh

The hotel is around 7 kms away from the city center and is placed in Zirakpur. not convenient if you have work in the city. Bad wi - fi connectivity. Hotel is good but not extremely convenient. I would stay if I get at the same rate again, not otherwise!

No fuss stay. The hotel has done all the basics right but not really a luxurious hotel. The room and the linen was clean and that is my prime concern with any hotel. However, it was a tad expensive compared to some boutique city center hotels which turn out to be better VFM.

Ok hotel very close to airport.

Strictly ok. Only facility available was room and a small dining room (had to wait to get a table for the buffet dinner for nearly 20 minutes). Nothing else at all. No spa, massage as mentioned on website. Staff were very good. Soft spoken, helpful, prompt in action.

Stop by for an ovrrnight stay

The hotel is in a good location. It's just next to the Big Bazaar where the kids enjoy supermarket and kid stuff. Stff is very nice and a kind of great service. Room condition is good, ver clean and big room but recommend to bring along the showe cap (for woman). Found that there is no shower in any hotel in India. Oh, one minor thing, the boiling pot is full of dust, though I clean the boiler pot and boiled some water twice but the dust still float on top on the water. I therefor give up for my tea. I will definely come back to this hotel once I back to Chandigarh.again

The hotel is centrally located between zirakpur and chandigarh, very near to chandigarh airport, the room was clean and perfect beds, located just back side of paras down mall, room was spacious and serviced was good.

Large rooms in a new hotel and attached to a mall

The rooms are large with all modern facilities and are done up elegantly. We had booked 2 rooms for our family. We reached the hotel from Delhi in late evening. One of the rooms was smelling. We went on calling the house keeping and the reception numerous times to spay some room freshner. However inspite of repeated assurance none of the house keeping staff showed up and we spent the night in the smelling room. Hotel property is good but the management is poor.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night services are good location is also good adjoined with paras down town square mall so you will get all the stuff there but 1 drawback is the entrance there is no proper entrance you have to find the way yourself no signs or boards for the way.
