"The location is very good and the staff are very helpful to arrange tours such as to samaria gorge and wine/cheese tours. The hot tub on the balcony was a hidden gem i was not expecting to enjoy as much as i did. The pool is bookable and is also very nice to use."

"Loved The Malmo Historic Hotel. The location is phenomenal for anyone wanting to walk around and get to know Chania. I would not suggest having a car for the time that you stay in this part of Crete though, it is definitely not necessary—and parking can be a pain. Their breakfast is phenomenal and most of the staff is very friendly & helpful. Ilias at the front was phenomenal and gave me so many amazing tips for exploring the area. Floors & shower mat could be better maintained. One lady working the breakfast buffet asked me several times which room I was staying in but I didn’t see her asking any of the other guests which made me feel like she was suspicious of me being there (but I guess this is to maintain the property correctly so I tried to be understanding). Those are my only two complaints. Overall, 10/10. Big rooms, good lighting, good ac."

"Amazing stay with amazing room. We were at room 404,Premium Superior Room with big balcony and big side window with sea view. Room and bathroom were big as well. Hotel was lovely, great staff, breakfast really nice,I personally enjoyed bacon ,bread, eggs. There were not many choices of cakes but it was ok,it did not bother me at all. We ate breakfast in front of the hotel and it was amazing as well. I really do not have words to desribe how happy I was during the stay. Pool was great, it was not huge and I was worried it will not be enough space but I was positively surprised as not many people used it and also it was not problem to use poolside lounger. Location was great, could not be better, close to harbour, city centre and beach. We will definitely come back to this hotel. There are also some areas of improvement but even with these small issues I enjoyed stay so much and do not regret. The negatives are: we had Premium Superior Room with side window that was very dirty outside :( so I could not enjoy the view as much as I expected. I understand that these windows are hard to clean and they are cleaned probably by exterior company and from time to time but still if a hotel offers such a room to enjoy the view it should be clean more often. You pay more for this room so these windows should be really clean. The other thing is not many cake choices,I was surprised there was no baklava or kataifi that I love so much and wanted to order in roof lounge/bar. Overall I love it"

"Great hotel overall in a perfect location. Very well maintained. Would recommend! However parking is only available if there are spots… it’s a pretty small parking so expect to have to look for street parking sometimes. We were able to find street parking!"
